Oh no!!!! I used to love his music.

I had the chance to see him many years ago but felt peevish and decided not to go. I really regret that.

RIP.

How sad. He had a velvet voice. I am glad that his music will live on forever. Rest in peace Mr. Rawls.

So Sad. I had gotten comp tickets to see him 3 years ago in Atlantic City. I opted to gamble instead but lucked out at 2 AM that morning because when I went to the all-night diner upstairs, Lou was seated right next to my friend and I. We struck up a nice conversation. I'll always have that memory.

My dad is a huge fan of him. Many years ago, (I was a little girl), we bought my dad a baby-blue t-shirt with Lou Rawl's face airbrushed on it!! Underneath it said, "I'll see you when I get there.."

He said he's going to wear it tomorrow in memorium.
