Lotusphere 2005

The Lotusphere 2005 convention will be at WDW, based out of the Swan and Dolphin Hotels, this Jan 23 to 27. I know the convention has been there other years, can anyone tell me what to expect for crowds? and is there an early park closure for private parties? Thanks!

My husband went to this quite a few years ago. I tagged along and enjoyed the Parks while he was in class/meetings, etc. The crowds were VERY light. It was WONDERFUL! I really enjoyed the time there. I don't recall if there were any early Park closings or not. Seems like maybe they did something -- maybe at MGM and maybe at Universal. I don't remember though. This was probably '97 - '98.

The crowds at the parks are light (usually...unless there's a Lotusphere event IN a park and then all bets are off).......

we find the restaurants to be quite crowded at this time though, mostly Lotusphere attendees dressed all yuppy-like and wearing their required ID's around their necks.

LOL! Great description! We are easily recognized in our "uniforms" of khaki trousers, employer-identifying polo shirt, matching backpacks, and Lotusphere IDs!
