We are headed to VB for the first time in June. We are staying in a studio. I have lots of questions on what to expect. I hope someone here can help. Here goes.........

What kind of kitchen utensils, bowls, etc would we find in the kitchenette?
What kind of coffee filters does the maker take?
Are beach towels provided as well as pool towels?
What is the beach chair/umbrella policy/price? Is it worth trying to buy our own down there or rent?
Is it a private beach?

I'm sure I'll think of more Q's later. LOL, but that's all for now. Thanks in advance!

Hi there! :wave2:
I just got back from a week at VB on Sat. night so I'll try and answer what I can for you ;)

What kind of kitchen utensils, bowls, etc would we find in the kitchenette?
You'll get paper plates & bowls in a studio along with some napkins and plastic utensils . You'll get reall glass drinking glasses and coffee mugs though.

What kind of coffee filters does the maker take?
round basket filters.

Are beach towels provided as well as pool towels?
just pool towels. If you want actual beach towels you'll need to bring your own. They do provide the pool towels for the beach though...there was a little towel stand at the enterance to the beach access.

What is the beach chair/umbrella policy/price? Is it worth trying to buy our own down there or rent?
I didn't pay too much attention to the prices as the surf was VERY rough and it was quite windy all week...we really just went walking on the beach and put our feet in. I did see the rental sign though and remember beach chairs being $7 each to rent I think. Not sure about the cabannas and wave runners...but again, wasn't really paying much attention as it was too windy and rough to want to hang on the beach this week. Hopefully it will calm down a bit by the time you're there ;)

Is it a private beach?I'm sure I'll think of more Q's later. LOL, but that's all for now. Thanks in advance!
No, it's a public beach but people who just walk the beach who may just enter the resort are met with a fenced in pool area once they reach the resort. The pool area can only be entered with your room key. And I'm quite happy to report that twice the CM's did a sweep of I.D. checks while I was there to make sure those who were in the pool area belonged there ::yes::
And you're very welcome! If you have any other questions ask away!

as far as umbrellas/chairs, we drove and brought our own that we bought at walmart when we were at hh. depending on how many days you plan to be there, it is definitely worth buying at walmart, even if you just leave them behind when you leave, as many others did. usually if we have room we pick up more good beach toys that way.

We will also be at Vero in June. When are you going? We will be there the last week. Anyway, we are driving down so we will bring our own chairs, beach towels and cabana. I do think the rental for the chairs are $7 per chair each day. I know it has been posted here before. Try this link to the Vero thread that has a ton of info.

Last time we were there I believe 2 chairs and an umbrella ran about $20 for the day plus a tip for the people that set them up. The rental concession is not run by DVC it is a private local company.

Isn't it $7 per day for chairs and $9 for the umbrella? We will also be there in june!!!!!

We'll be there the last week in July, Thanks for posting the prices! We are flying down so we will probably end up renting chairs and umbrellas, maybe i can even convince my parents to rent a cabana on the beach haha, does anyone know if they come with chairs too? The price is probably not worth it though! I'm glad someone mentioned sand toys, i didnt even think of bringing them since im flying but we will most likely be buying some there to play with.

as i posted before many people buy their umbrellas and beach chairs at walmart for about the price of a one day rental and then just leave them behind, depending on how long your stay is, it may make sense to do this. same thing happens at wdw with umbrella strollers, you wouldn't believe how many are for sale to cm's at inventory control.

A Cabanna oooohhhh that sounds great, anyone know the rental price???

Ugh, paper plates instead of real plates! It could add to the litter problem at the resort not to mention guests taking that stuff to the beach and letting it blow into the ocean. Isn't there a small sink where one could hand-wash real plates on the studio side? I don't get it...why the wastefulness on the part of DVC Vero? :confused3

DisBeliever, all of the studios at WDW have paper plates, not only Vero. We've never been to HH, but I'm guessing that's the case there as well. That is the only thing that I liked about Hilton Grand Vacation Club, the studios had real plates, dishwasher etc.
