Hi! We'll be on our 1st Disney Cruise (3nt) in Aug. A few questions for the veterans. Are all 3 nights on the cruise "resort casual"? I realize this means khakis and polos for men, but what about women. Are capri pants and a nice shirt dressy enough? Are tennis shoes ok? They'll be 4 in our party 2 adults and 2 children, if we request a small table, will we most likely be by ourselves? Last, is there any chance we might be upgraded or is that not very common on Disney? We'll be traveling in late Aug, so is there a chance? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

I saw alot of ladies in capris and dressy shirts. I don't think tennis shoes would be appropriate, but thats your call. The dress code was not inforced unfortunetly and alot of cruisers wore what they pleased in the dining rooms. We did not ask for a small table but ended up at a table for four. We would have enjoyed meeting someone, maybe next time. You can request a seperate table, but its not guaranteed.
As far as upgrades, you will get alot of answers on this one. You do hear of them, but not that often. Disney cruise fill up fast so most cruises go out full. So good luck with the upgrade shuffle.

I wore Capris on the 4 day for 3 of the dinners, the other I dressed a little better but I have NO clue what Tennis Shoes are so I can't help you there.....

but I have NO clue what Tennis Shoes are so I can't help you there.....

Aprilgail2 you don't know what Tennis shoes are????? Those things you see people wearing on their feet when they go to the gym or jogging or just walking around. Thick rubber sole, canvas or nylon materail on the top.

bthrsoon it depends on the style of your Tennis shoe. I wouldn't wear my running shoes but I would wear my Mickey tennis shoes. I have seen some nice tens like the kind with the back out, the cobb tennies I call them. You may want to get a pair of easy on and off sandles or even a pair of flip flops to go with your Capris.
I would not count on an upgrade or a table by yourselves, August is crowded month aboard any cruiseline.

Tennis shoes are called sneakers here in the east.
Capri's are fine for dinner, I would bring a pair of sandals that match all outfits.

OH SNEAKERS>....of course I know what they are but I could not imagin why in the world you were going to wear shoes that you play tennis in on the cruise for!

I think nice capri's would definately be OK in the restaurants (but not in Palo - but then again I didn't go there). I, personally, would not wear capris to Triton's either, but that's just me. I agree and skip the sneakers and go with some sandals. I wore capris the night of Parrot Cay and felt very comfortable and there were others in capris too. HTH.

From reading the Personal Navigators from the Disney Wonder, Triton's is *NOT* resort casual. Men are asked to wear jackets and women are asked to wear dresses/pant suits.

Lumiere's, on the Disney Magic, changed from "Jacket recommended" to resort casual due to the longer cruises. Many people on the seven night vacations will be in Lumiere's a total of three times. I guess Disney felt that people would not want to dress up on that many nights.
