I know Veteran's day will be extremely busy but what about that wed & thurs before?? 9th & 10th of November..

Any chance it's a small world would open before the 11th? or do they usually stick to the opening date..

WheelChair rental..any good bad experiences??

Any Christmas decorations/merchandise that week??

I can only speak to the wheel chair rental. If you are staying onsite you can rent them from the hotel, which is really convenient. Also they are very very affordable. I used one last year in June when I was pregnant and just too pooped out to walk the entire last day of our visit and it was very easy to arrange and rent.

If you rent a WC in the parks, it can go from DL to DCA and vice versa but not out security to DTD or Harbor. Also for some pushing a WC around the parks is a lot of work so people opt for ECVs instead.

You will see lots of Christmas stuff, don't worry, it will be going up and all over DL and some in DCA too. Small World may open early. If your in the back of Fantasyland ask a CM at the attraction entrance periodically, they may know if it will open later in the day or if it's still not planned to open.

In 2008 they had a soft opening the night before it was supposed to open, right during the nightime parade.
