My wedding isn't even booked yet, and already I am going crazy! I was all set to book my Escape wedding, when I found out...they switched the time you can start booking from 1 year to 8 months. Bummer. I pretty much have my whole wedding envisioned, but I still have many, many questions. Many. I am a pain, I post here with so many questions! :rolleyes1

Basically, what we are *hoping* for is April 22 @ 2:30pm @ the WP. We had it for 5, but we switched when my mom told me she and my father would pay for a DP for us! :woohoo: I spoke with a Disney representative named Bill, who informed me that my date was currently open (except for a wedding earlier that day). So far, so good! We booked a Carnival cruise for our honeymoon that leaves from Orlando on the 24th, so I neeeeeed this date. ;-) After the ceremony/photos (we decided on Misty, with Randy as a fallback if she turns out to be booked that day), we will be eating dinner and then off to our dessert party! Then for the wedding night DF and I will be checking into a deluxe resort, although, we're not entirely too sure which one as of yet! We're thinking AKL, anyone do their wedding night there? :lovestruc

So here are where all my questions come in:

1. Where is a good place to get your hair done onsite? Did you have a trial, and, if you do not mind me asking, what were the prices of hair/makeup and did the trial cost any less?
2. How long is the Escape ceremony and reception? Is it rushed?
3. What are some nice restaurants where I won't look like a complete imbecile in my wedding gown? LOL. :bride: (we were thinking of Narcoose's) Is there any restaurant with a private room for about 15 people?
4. Since I am not going to be using Disney photography, will they give me anything in its place?
5. Can I rent the limo longer?
6. How many people will the limo even hold?
7. I doubt anyone will know this, but, if I am staying at Bonnet Creek (DF and his mom are going to stay on Disney property, which will be apart of the 4 night minimum stay; I will be staying with my family at our timeshare, which is surrounded by Disney property but not on it - it is a good neighbor, though!) will the limo pick me up there?
8. If I book my wedding in August, when will I receive our AP's and can I use them toward the resort stay if there's a discount at that time?

DESSERT PARTY QUESTIONS
These are very important as I have not really researched this a lot yet and when I did, I could not find much information...
1. We're going to have 15 people, will we be forced to use Morocco?
2. Is there any way that I can keep my dress on without using Disney transportation?
3. Does anyone have the different menu option choices?
4. What are all the fees and options (if any) for a dessert party?

Also, if anyone has any pictures I would love you dearly. To anyone who went through this whole post, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I know, I am a pain, hopefully this will keep me from posting for awhile with more questions, and hey, it prevented me from posting 20 different threads! LOL. If there is anything else you think would be informative, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!!!! :thumbsup2

People will come to your room to do hair and makeup. Beaute Speciale and Patricia LeJeune are popular here. I'm using Beaute Speciale and its like $120 for hair and makeup.

2. How long is the Escape ceremony and reception? Is it rushed?

1 hour

3. What are some nice restaurants where I won't look like a complete imbecile in my wedding gown? LOL. :bride: (we were thinking of Narcoose's) Is there any restaurant with a private room for about 15 people?

I am having my dinner at Bluezoo in the Swan hotel. They have private rooms. The minimum is $1200

4. Since I am not going to be using Disney photography, will they give me anything in its place?

I am getting a honeymoon shoot in the parks, but I think they stopped substitutions. I'm not 100% though.

5. Can I rent the limo longer?

Yes, its $98 per hour after the 4

8. If I book my wedding in August, when will I receive our AP's and can I use them toward the resort stay if there's a discount at that time?

I received mine a few weeks after I signed a contract

1. We're going to have 15 people, will we be forced to use Morocco?

Pretty much. Some people have gotten lucky though.

2. Is there any way that I can keep my dress on without using Disney transportation?

I was told I can wear my dress and walk to Morocco through the International Gateway. It is written in my BEO. What people are told is totally inconsistent. Welcome to the DFTW world.

4. What are all the fees and options (if any) for a dessert party?

You have to spend at least $22 in food and beverages. There is a $12.95 viewing fee for guests that don't have a park pass. The site rental is $200. There is a $75 set up fee.

You can decorate and have a bar for an extra fee, which I am doing so you have more questions about that, ask away.

Also, if anyone has any pictures I would love you dearly.

No problem. I couldn't answer everything, but happy to help.

I used Patricia LeJeuene. I think the trial was a little less. You'll have to check her website. http://www.lejeune-pca.com/. You can also have hair done at Ivy Trellis at the GF.

2. How long is the Escape ceremony and reception? Is it rushed?
I don't remember it feeling rushed.

I think Citrico's has a Chef's Domaine table. I think that is semi-private. And there is always Victoria and Albert's!

My BFF was staying off site (at Lake Buena Vista Suites) and the limo picked her up there before it came to VWL to pick us up.

You ladies are dolls! :-) You answered a ton of my questions! Thank you!!! :-)

If you are doing a dessert party I know you can no longer have an outside photographer take the pics, so you can use DPS for the DP:thumbsup2

The limo holds 8 people.

DP menu choices - check magical kingdoms or search the forum - the link is posted. You can customize your menu and the chef will give you a per person price.

Thanks!

Any ideas as to which desserts you can use to make a custom menu and still have the $22/pp price?

Unless it's at Sago Cay Pointe for Wishes...but I don't know if you can do that for an Escape...I haven't seen it yet!
