Dec trip with my little guys and husband!!! The two and a half has allergies to dairy and egg, so far I must say Disney has been great!!!! I have been so preoccupied with worries of my son needing his epiepen I have not done to much other reserch. Help!!!!!
We will be staying at the Polly on the councierge level, whats that like and what do the seve and what are the other bennifets?
Also Haunted Mansion with the two and a half year old and an 8 month old, are we nuts?
Is doing laundry while in Disney crazy or a must?
Clothes...what do we bring for Dec?
Is it warm enough to go swimming at the pool? Dec5-12
Packing musts?

Thank you so much!!!!!

Sorry that I can't answer most of your questions, but I have been to Disney during the first week of December. My advice is to pack for both warm and cold weather. When I was there the first week of Dec. 2000, the weather was fairly cold. My sister and I wore jeans/slacks the entire time and it was actually quite cold one or two mornings. I think that my nephew on the other hand wore shorts every day. One of my friends from work went the week right after I went and he had great weather. It was in the 70's the entire week.

Have a great trip! pixiedust:

You should probably ask this question over on the resorts board. They have a thread specifically for all Poly questions

I took my 2 1/2yoa son on it and he was fine. I think that it made him a little nervous and he said that he didn't want to go on it again. My 5yo dd does not like it. It's a little much for her. I think it's all in the child. My dd hid her head in my chest pretty much the whole time.

We stay at a DVC when we go and we do laundry. However, I buy color catchers and throw everything in together so that I only have 1 load to do. I don't think that you are crazy at all.

The first week of December last year was cold. We were only in shorts 1 day. At night we were all in jeans, sweatshirts, and jackets. I wore jeans and a sweatshirt all week long. At night I had on my coat and wished sometimes that I had gloves. However, with this being said we have gone previous years in December and it was warm enough to wear shorts both day and night.

Some years it is, some it isn't. Last year we only had 1 day that it was warm enough to go swimming. However, we were only there until the 6th so take it for what it's worth

All the normal stuff. Our only not normal "musts" are fans for white noise. I always go by this list when packing. I first go through it and cross off everything that doesn't apply to us and then make my own from it http://www.mousesavers.com/UltimatePackingList.doc

Have a GREAT time!

My 3YO son was pretty scared by this ride. It was the only thing that really bothered him at WDW. He didn't cry but mentioned that it scared him and asked a few times if we planned to make him ride it again.

This Haunted Mansion is not made in the sense to scare people. But, it could be intense for younger riders
