I would love it if you could look over my plans and let me know what you think! We'll be there January 9-15th and are staying at SOG, so we qualify for early entry and extra evening hours. We've been to Disney many times before but haven't done a lot of park hopping because it seemed hard with little kids. Our kids are older now so we want to give it a shot. We will have Genie+

9th- Check-in, Disney Springs, and dinner at Ohana

10th- Rope drop MK and then hop to Epcot for Extra Evening hours and eat counter service for dinner there. I'm thinking the monorail would be a good option for transportation?

11th- AK and a late lunch at Sanaa. Considering hopping to HS depending on how much energy everyone has, if we decide to do this we would ride standby in AK and stack passes for HS.

12th- Rope drop HS hop to MK for extra evening hours. Hoping for a Sci-Fi lunch on this day.

13th- Epcot World Showcase at opening and then hop to Hollywood Studios and focus on Star Wars stuff (Oga's & Droid building). We will stack passes for HS while at Epcot. Crossing fingers for a Space 220 lunch. I would love to do ROTR and Smugglers this night but I'm wondering if ROTR would likely be sold out by 8:00am? I couldn't buy it at 7:00am because Epcot opens later, right?

14th- Toppolino's for breakfast and then MK. We will hop to another park if there's something we missed earlier in the week.

What do you think? Are we going to waste a ton of time getting between the parks?

Sounds well thought-out and planned. The one item that strikes me as a potential issue is your dinner plans at 'Ohana on the first night of your stay. That's the end of marathon weekend, and getting 'Ohana could be a struggle. It will be an extremely busy weekend. Space 220 later in your stay is more promising.

On the 13th, you could look for an ILL of ROTR at 7AM - has nothing to do with park opening. You just need to be a resort guest for that option.

And yes, it will take time to do all the hopping. But it'll make for a better trip with things you want to do, so go for it!

Thank you so much for your feedback! I really appreciate it!

You were right about Ohana, no luck on the 9th but I was able to get it on the 14th. I just moved Toppolino's to the 15th so that worked out well. No Space 220 either, but I expected that. If we end up getting it that will be awesome but nobody has their heart set on it so we'll be fine either way. There's no shortage of things to eat in Epcot! Lol!

I'm glad to hear I can book ROTR right at 7:00 am. Now I just need to figure out which time to aim for. We have Oga's at 7:30pm and I'm hoping to get droid reservations for right before park closing. Ideally I'd love to hit all the Star Wars rides in that afternoon and save the others for the morning we're RDing HS.

I'd keep checking the night before or the morning of for new Space 220 opening up - you might get it! Rope dropping can be a lot, but it's well worth it (since you said your kids are older) and you'll make it worth while to hit up all the rides you want to cover. Have fun!
