Lost Ticket- Finger scan question

We have misplaced or lost a 7 day park hopper pass that had a couple days left on it. We do have a photocopy (thanks to advice from the DIS boards) so I know it can be replaced. The ticket belongs to either my DD or SIL, not sure which one. When they re-issue the ticket, does the finger scan automatically transfer onto the new ticket?

Yes, the biometric code does transfer.

Thanks. I guess once it is replaced, if one has the wrong ticket it will reject and they can just switch tickets at the turnstile.
