LOST SEASON 3 **Official** Discussion/Speculation Thread (No Spoilers)

Could be that everyone has been told they're dead, that it is just a cover up.

Hasn't that theory been completely denied by the writers? :confused3

I thought so but I'm not sure. They're going to have to explain why this woman said that everyone on flight 815 died though.

Ok show.
Loved what the girl said.
Knew Juliet was up to something. No surprise there.
Interesting to see the one-eyed guy.
I'm more facinated by the preview with Locke asking Swayer to kill Ben! :confused3

Not Ben, Locke's dad (?). He said he snuck in Ben's tent and kidnapped "Him". We all assume Locke's dad is the original Sawyer so James who went to Australia to kill "Sawyer" might be ready to really do it.

My guess is that They (either Dharma or Mittelos or whatever) didn't want people searching for the lost plane because they (the outside world) might discover the island, so they faked finding the plane. Either they recreated the wreckage, took some of it off the island, or somehow else made it seem like they had found a plane with no survivors.

Oh well. When I heard him, I thought he meant he went into Ben's tent and kidnapped him, meaning Ben. I guess it does make more sense that he'd be talking about his dad and not Ben, but I couldn't tell 100% from the preview.

I find it funny that they're all connected and it's starting to show more and more. Claire and Jack, Locke and Sawyer.

I have a question, why do you think Locke's dad is "Sawyer"? I missed a few episodes so was it shown?

Anyone else wondering if Kate's going to end up knocked up too?

They really should do a public service annoucement for all of the female survivors to never, ever have sex--especially with all of the extra sperm all of the men on the island have :scared1:

I think Kate already is pregnant!

Good thought. But it would be hard to recreate the wreckage of a specific plane. She said that they found the plane and I'm sure the Losties would have noticed that--or maybe they even more clueless than we think.

What does everyone make of Juliette saying that she has to test the other women (or something like that)? Could they be looking for a specific woman? Maybe the whole time warp thing is about to be revealed and one of the Losties is Ben's mother, but he doesn't know which one.

Great show last night.

I'm just wondering why Juliet wouldn't suggest an abortion since neither Sun nor the baby will survive or why hadn't they performed abortions on any of the pregnant women knowing what they know? I'm also confused why Sun would find it weird that Jack was asking her how she was doing, he is a doctor after all:confused3

She said she needed to get samples from Austin, which is Kate!

This is what I think. The girl is Desmonds daughter carrying a picture of her parents. If there is a time warp thing going on it would make sense. She would be rich. She would know about the flight. Where is the plane from the beach?

Her complexion is too dark to be Desmond's and Penny's. :confused3 It's an interesting theory though!

Desmomd is very dark & does not look English. I think he is more Italian or French looking.

I just realized this is my DD screen name sorry!

The girl still looked a lot darker than Desmond to me, I don't think she could be Desmond and Penny's daughter. Plus, she would have said "Dad", instead of "Desmond" when she first saw him. I think she was working for Penny to find Desmond.

BabyPiglet, I don't remember anything specific linking Sawyer to Locke's dad, but I think it's a popular theory, with all the connections between the characters. The real "Sawyer" would have been about that age, and a con man, just like Locke's dad is a con man.

About the plane, in the Nikki and Paulo episode, they discussed the beach eroding and things getting washed away. Has some or most of the plane wreckage washed away?

Also, the plane broke up in the air. If the outside world found part of the wreckage in the sea, they would assume the rest was at the bottom and that there were no survivors. I don't think the outside world's belief that there were no survivors means anything, really.

I got the feeling that possibly Sun went in behind Juliet to check on her. Just the look in Sun's eyes when she watched her go back in, looked like she didn't completely trust that she was going back.

I TOTALLY agree..I thought she followed her, too....;)

ITA!!!

Good one!

ITA. She totally followed her. She's way too smart and suspicious to just stand there!

And even though it was hokey--I loved the part where one of the guys said, "no one knows we're here" and then Hurley shot the flare gun. That was awesome!

And I'm glad Patchy was back, because I was right and my DH was wrong! lol

Thinking about the different languages the woman spoke, I can't go back and check - but was each person hearing a language THEY understood? IN other words, was this a universal translator tupe thing going on? Or do I have an overactive imagination?
