LOST - Season 2 (No spoilers)

From the previews tonight, who do you think Eko was carrying back? At first I thought Jun, because it looked like a brown shirt, but then it looked like it was short sleeves and more like a T-shirt.

Also how did the "others" know to have two people on opposite sides of the island ready to become part of the survivors?

I thought he was carrying Sayid back.

I don't think the crash was an accident. I think The Others somehow caused the plane to break up and it was a somewhat-controlled crash. They knew where the sections would crash and were ready to assimilate into the crowd. I say "somewhat" because I don't think they intended for the tail section to land in the water but on the beach. That's why Goodwin wasn't in the water.

I'm not sure who Eko is carrying back. It could be Sawyer, it could be Sayid after failing to give Ana-Lucia a much needed attitude adjustment (personally I think that should be given by Kate -- catfight!!)

When I watched Goodwin for a minute or so, I told my husband he was up to no good! There was just something about him that made me feel that way.

I'm not trying to be an obnoxious-know-it-all, but I pegged Goodwin for an other right away (I swear...ask my husband! :teeth: ) I guess I've trained myself to look at the non-obvious.

I pegged him, too, but honestly I thought he was obvious. Good at outdoorsy stuff (I assume an Other would have to be), wearing the requisit beige/white/non-descript color, scruffy looking. I kept thinking Nathan isn't an Other...he's wearing maroon! lol. And newish looking maroon...looks like a gap T I got my kids a few months ago.

Next week looks very interesting. If Sayid ends up beat down by Ana Lucia I will not be happy. not even a little bit.

I could have sworn that Nathan was one of those guys on the boat that took Walt. Wasn't there a couple of younger guys with dark hair like Nathan? (well, younger than the Gordon's Fisherman at least ;) ) I was sure that he would escape and we would see him later in the episode helping kidnap Walt.

Plus the blonde lady "other" that Anna-Lucia killed that had the list and the knife.. she looked like the woman that was piloting the boat. Also kind of looked like the wife in the couple that came up with the Dharma Initiative.

2004 Claire gives birth to son [1x20]

36D OI
2004 Boone dies [1x20]

It shows that both Boone dies and Claire gives birth on day 36.

Thanks for finding that. Interesting. I wonder who is wrong?

In the first season in the first show right before the engine blew up there is a black shadow that dips down and hits the engine. At the end of the season we see the "monster" which is a black shadow and Danielle says that it is the security system. I can swear that right before the tail section hit the water one or more of those black shadows hit the water. I think the "others" may have sent that security system after the plane.

I'll have to remember to go back tonight to watch that part again.

It's no fun watching this with a pilot. The second the plane hit the water he just started laughing hysterically and mumbling about G-Forces. Did the same thing last season with the crash scenes.

It think those were just parts of the plane. They made splashes in the water.

My theory is that the Others are actually good…that they were probably some sort of lab rats of Dharma who broke free from their oppressive reign/experiments and are living in fear searching for freedom. Also, it gets me thinking about the OTHER survivors and why they haven’t taken them (except trying to take Aaron – obviously good since he’s just a babe). But all of the main characters from the fuselage that the show has focused on are flawed in some way or have secret bad stuff they did or bad decisions they have made…which is why the Others aren’t interested in them. But of course my theory has holes since I think Rose and Barnard are good…why didn’t they take them?

Ok, dish.

Lastly, the girl that Ana Lucia killed - she looked young to me...almost 16. Who else is 16 on the Island with The Others? Alex...Danielle's daughter they kidnapped 16 years ago...

TigerB, I tend to agree with you. I think they may not be bad either. Or if they are bad, they're not doing bad things with the people. The guy last night said that the taken people were fine and I believe him.

But she was blonde, and Danielle is French and her daughter likely would've had dark hair. :confused3 Besides, I couldn't see her very well at all, I couldn't even try to guess how old she was.

My theory is that they were working with some kind of bad virus/disease and there was an outbreak. I believe that they have a vaccination, but it only works on small children (that's why he said "they are better off now" or something like that) or people of a certain type (twins maybe), thus the list of 9 people. The army had to get involved once the outbreak was found and that's why things are quarantined and the army knife was found.

The vaccination/disease research was only one part of many different experiments that Dharma was involved in, but shut the whole project down (this is the "incident" that was spoken of on the tape)

I know that doesn't answer every question (why'd the plane go down, why is everyone interconnected, why is Kate so darn good looking) but at least gets my mind started in what I believe is the right direction.

Last night's episode was certainly awesome!

Did anyone else think it was odd that Bernard was found strapped in a seat up in that tree? Didn't Rose tell Jack in the first episode that her husband had gone to the restroom? If he was in the restroom when the plane went down, or even if he was on his way back, it seems highly unlikely that he would have time to find an empty seat and strap himself in before the plane began to break apart.

That had crossed my mind as well. I guess I just figured he must have been on his way back and grabbed a seat when they got that first jolt.

I'm Italian with dark hair and my daughter is blonde, blue eyed like her father.

Actually, I'm italian too and you see DS below, he has his fathers features as well. I'm not saying it's not possible, but with her strong accent, I assume she came from france and so her babys father was probably french as well. I just don't see them making her daughter blonde. Plus, like I said, I couldn't see the girl/woman very well AT ALL, so I have no idea how old she is. Of course it is possible, anything is with this show!

Yes, that bothered me too. From what I remember there was a jolt and then the tail blew off. I don't see how he would have had time to get into a seat. I wonder if they'll revisit that. It could have been anyone up there in the tree. Why Bernard? Why a person that we were given his "status" (in bathroom) before? That doesn't make sense.

I don't see why French people can't have blonde hair. :confused3
