Can anyone put me at ease? Does Disney have a way - ANY way - to tell when you have unused days left on your no expiration tix?:confused3 (just to be clear, I haven't lost my tix; I just get worried about it!)

I'm buying my kids 10 day no exp tix for next month; I know we will have remainder days. I also know that I am not the most organized person, and I fear I will lose the tickets before we go back again (especially since we aren't travelling straight home after Orlando) - will I have any recourse?

I'm also bringing my 10 day from last year. It has 7 days left on it. I'm always worried I'll get there in December and they'll say "Sorry, lady, no days showing on this here ticket; have a magical stay!":scared1:

When I first used my ticket last year, except for the little finger swipe, I don't remember there being any identification being associated w/ my ticket. I.e., I'd feel more comfortable if I could call and they check their database and it says "ah yes, PoohJen, lost your ticket? You have 7 days left. Your sons have 5 days left. We'll cancel the old tickets and send you each a new one with your remainder. Have a magical day.":goodvibes

I think there is a way for them to be able to tell you on the phone how many days you have left. I don't think there is anyway for them to replace a lost ticket though I might be wrong on that one.

I think if you have the code number from the lost ticket they can replace it. They have not verified remaining days over the phone for several years, folks would try to verify it to sell them, even with the finger scans.

Write down the ticket code, or better yet, take a photo copy of both sides and put it in a safe place.

I agree about finding out the number of days left. From my experience, you have to go to Guest Relations to determine the number of days left. If you have any type of receipt I would think they would be able to help you. Good luck!

Good ideas. I will do that. I'll also ask them when I get there what their procedure it. Those tickets are so flimsy and look just like every other ticket, people must lose them all the time!

i believe the only way to check on the remaining days of an unused non-expiring ticket is at any guest relations. I am 99.9% sure you can not do it over the phone. You should always make a photo copy of the back of your tickets, if for any reason your tickets are lost or stolen Disney can simply deactivate those tickets and will re-issue you new ones for whatever balance was left on the missing tickets.

People definitely lose them all the time, and it's no big deal. The easiest way to make sure they can be replaced is (as others have suggested):

1) Keep your receipt (which has the tracking numbers on them)
2) Write down your tracking numbers
or
3) Photocopy the back of the tickets (the front doesn't have any relevant info. on it)

If you lose both your tickets and your tracking numbers, Guest Relations can sometimes trace it with other information, but not always and it takes a while. So, try to at least keep track of your tracking numbers, if only to save yourself a headache.

Thanks! I just ordered my tickets online earlier tonight; when they arrive I will promptly record the numbers on the backs, take a picture of them, encase the receipts in water-resistant, flame retardant plastic, and lock in a high security vault until our departure date!:thumbsup2 (and as soon as I submit this reply, I'll go record the number of my ticket from last year).

Now who wants to set the odds that I'll forget to bring the tickets with me to Orlando?!!!:scared1: :rotfl:

A few years back my wife lost her Annual Pass at Magic Kingdom.

We reported it lost at our hotel that night (Wilderness Lodge). They told us to come back for a new pass in the morning. They were able to track our AP from our name, and void our old one (which was found discarded outside the turnstyles of Animal Kingdom the following morning).

I'm not sure about losing a ticket but we were told by GS to take our paper tickets and have them put on our KTTW room cards the first trip we used them. Then simply bring the cards back next trip and they transfer the unused parts to our new room cards. Twice we have left them in the room and arrived at the park. We went to GS and they asked our room number and ID and gave us a new card. It had all our info up to date and one of the times they added a day or two somehow. I always worried that with a paper ticket and water rides that they would get ruined but now I feel much better about it. Hope this info helps. You can always take the card to GS at the parks or the resorts to find out how many days you have left. They just give them a swipe. One more thing, keep the cards away from your cell phone, it messes them up.

Annual passes are different - they ask for your ID when you buy it, and record your name/address. If you ever lose it, just present your ID at a ticket counter, and you can get another printout.

Magic your way tickets can only be tracked by the tracking number as stated :)

In December 2005 my Dad realized on our way to the Airport that he accidently threw out his ticket. However I remembered that the numbers on mine and his were excatly the same, expect for the very last digit. So when we told this to the Cast Members on the Atrium Club they cancelled his old ticket and got him a brand new one which they added to his KTTW card which he was using at that time.

As a PP suggested, I always scan the back of our tickets and save the page as a file on my computer. Then I print a copy out and take it with me in a safe place (hidden). That way if one of us loses a ticket we can take the number to Guest Services to be replaced; sort of like buying insurance!

Great advice Everyone! Thank you!:cool1:

No, they cant give you that info over the phone. A number of CM's have posted that if CM's do that, they could be fired.

Just got back from Fl (10/19-10/29). We were at WDW for 3 days, using days from our non-expiration 10 day passes bought last year. After retrieving my ticket from the machine as we were entering Epcot, the CM let me know that I was using "day 4" of my 10 day pass. I was very surprised that they could know that much info' @ the entry gates!:)

I additionally scan my tickets into my PC and email the file to my hotmail acct. If they're misplaced, I can easily go to any PC and print the email (just in case you misplace the copy!!!).

every trip I photocopy backs of all tickets and tape em to the fridge weeks ahead of time, they remain on the fridge where my Mom can get to em while we are in disney in case we need that info.

....so far...so good;)
