Started WW 2/23/07 and have been doing really great (17.6 lbs). Then Easter came! I think I have had enough candy to account for 4 weeks worth of points. I am soooo afraid :scared: to weigh in this week and have decided to skip it. Is that a bad thing to do? I am back on track now but I am sure I put a few lbs. on over the weekend:sad2: . What would you all do? Weigh in or not?

Honestly, I'd face the music and weigh in. It's hard sometimes, but if I don't stay accountable, I find it becomes w-a-y to easy to skip weigh-ins if I've had a bad day. Then, one bad day turns into 2 bad days, then a bad week (heck, if I'm already *ditching* the weigh-in, then what's the difference?)...then, before I know it, all bets are off, and my old bad habits return and *poof* the weight is back on.

But that's just me....:rolleyes1

Always weigh in, take the good with the bad. The world will not end if you gain a few pounds, but if you make a habit out of missing meetings your diet will soon end. Don't allow yourself to make excuses to miss, once you start it gets easier each time. If you make yourself go each week no matter how bad you did, you will find it a lot easier to be good. It is too hard to deprive yourself of everything, don't worry about an occaisional indulgence, just get right back on track. I have been doing WW for 60 weeks, I have had 6 where I gained weight, it happens, but with the other 54 I have lost over 100 lbs. MAKE THE MEETINGS

I totally agree with all of this!!! I started WW 5 weeks ago, and don't have much to lose(14 pounds is my 10% goal). As of last week, I lost 5.5. Not as fast as I like, but WW is a lifetime thing, not just one week!!! I blew it on Easter too, not so much with candy, but with all the ham and fixings! I weighed myself the day after Easter and gained 2 pounds!!! Today, I Weigh-in and according to my scale here at home, I am back down to my weight that I was last week at WI. So, if you get back on track, WW really does work. I am hoping the scale tonight at WI will show a little bit of a loss. It did last week when I thought I had stayed the same! :wizard:

You are all right! I will go and face the music. I know I am up 2-3 lbs., but I can take it back off. Already have been keeping my fingers out of the easter baskets so I think I'm on the right path. Thanks for the support.

Good choice, homemaker!

One of the things I love most about the WW plan, is that it helps you to learn how to eat in "real life". Holidays and Special Occasions happen. They are meant to be enjoyed with your family and friends (hopefully in moderation, but sometimes we all forget what that means! :rolleyes1 ) Just know that it's OK to have your fun, as long as those days are the exception, not the norm in your life. If you have a gain this week, or even maintain you'll know why. You're still better off then when you started this journey. :goodvibes

Good luck at your weigh-in, and here's to a week of healthy eating! :cheer2:
