lost my job

Sorry to hear that. I hope that at least you'd be able to work through the holidays.

:hug::hug:

Dust off that resume! I don't know what your career has been, but FWIW hubby has gotten quite a few jobs and offers and especially interviews over the years, by having his resume on monster.com. Even though his is not searchable right now (he hides it when he's not looking), recruiters who snagged it when it was "open" are continuing to contact him.

I know our situation isn't what everyone experiences, but this might be the door to something great. When hubby found out that his department in Seattle was closing end of May (he found out April 2) it was so scary; we were living so close to the edge. He got an offer end of May, worked a month, realized contract work was horrid for us, his old company called and offered interviews for a different job, a month later he was back! In the meantime we changed our financial world around and his layoff got Thanksgiving day thanks from us... I hope that this experience is the same for you, even if it doesn't feel like it now. :hug::hug:

I'm ok and young only 26. I graduate may 15 with my accounting and business administration degree. So I will just start looking in my career field.

I am so sorry, you have a good attitude and it sounds like with soon to be degree, you'll have some good opportunities. But its still always a shock and not what you want to have happen. Especially this time of year.

Good luck to you!:hug:

hugs to you I lost my job on 11/13/09. I was with my company 16 years. I have spent the past 2 weeks looking and looking. Not htis week I am focusing on planning a schedule so I am not bouncing all over. The good news is one of the recuiters I spoke with told me many companies are realizing they cut back too much and are now beginning to plan to open up some positions after the beginning of the year. Stay positive.

I'm sorry to hear the news but kudos on your great attitude!!! It's that very thing that will get you a job :goodvibes

This is such a hard time of the year to get that news :( I am sorry and wishing you good luck, Mary

Just yesterday three of my coworkers got the axe. It never seems to end. :(

You sound like you'll be OK though. Hang in there.
