Lost my job today

So at the end of the day today, I was called into my boss' office and told that they are cutting the budget and that I no longer have a job. She told me over and over again that it had nothing to do with me. I should have known this was coming, as they struggled to pay the bills last week and didn't have enough money this week.

So the hunt is on for a new job.

I am sorry you lost your job. It does sound like the company is in trouble so maybe it is not the worst thing to be one of the first out. Then you can get a great job before all the others are looking! I hope you do find a really good job quickly.

That happened to me three years ago. In retrospect, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I found a new job that I LOVE and I'm making twice the money I was making at the old place.

Ugh. We have been there, done that a couple of times with companies going bankrupt while DH was working for them. It stinks and you have my sympathies. Good luck in the job hunt. I hope it goes quickly for you.

Sorry to hear this DH was let go two years ago, the company outsourced his position. The boss told him the day he came back after a great family vacation. She said she knew before he left for vacation but didnt want to tell him then becasue she was afraid he would cancel the trip. I was livid at first but realized she did the right thing as I would have canceled and it was a great trip that we would have missed. Anyway to make a long story short DH now has a much better job, much better pay and he actually loves what he does for the first time ever. Hopefully this will be the case for you too!!!

This has happened to me twice and both times it felt like I had been kicked in the gut.

the last time that happened to me,, i was self employed and in a better situation with in 3 days,,lol,, how ever, the company i work for now is in bad financial straights and there snot much work coming in,, they are cutting their work force heavily,, ( completely asap) and cutting every ones pay,,, so I'm looking as well, so is dw, (we own the company,,lol)
