i lost my goal, i lost my maintence. I stepped on the scale this AM, not only am i above my Maintence goal, i am at the highest point ever.

i have vacation in 2 months, i have Holidays coming up, I have WInter in my way........
how am i going to get rid of this extra in so little time w/o doing WW?
i would like to drop 10-15 beore my trip.
any suggestions?
WW made me starving, cranky and made DH mad because i would not/could not eat the food i prepare for the family, beacuse it was too high on points.

this is really no surprize, i knew my clohtes were getting smaller, but i blammed the washing machine and dry, not myself
but now i must fix it a little.

Hi Misty....now, I don't know your or your husband, granted. So of course you should take what I say with a grain of salt. But really...why oh why would you let your husband dictate YOUR weight loss? This is about YOU, not him. If you have a program that worked for you, then do it. He'll deal. It is not for very long if you only have 10-15 pounds to lose.

Another angle...if your meals are too high in points for you to eat, then maybe they are too high for your whole family? Why give your kids meals that are so high in calories? Have everyone eat healthier. Instead of YOU eating for them, have THEM eat for YOU. Make a WW meal that you just feed to the whole family.

Now, if you hated WW for other reasons, then that is a different story. I suggest you hop over to the WW thread and get some good ideas over there for new or different foods that will fill you up and are low in points so that you aren't always starving.

Also, you didn't mention anything about exercise? What are you doing in that department? The fastest and easiest thing you can do is power walk for 45 minutes multiple times each week. Doesn't require a ton of time, doesn't require any special equipment or an expensive gym membership. Once you are comfortable with that, then you can increase from there.

Good luck! You did it once, and you can do it again.

I'll tell you. You ARE going to do this and it will be one step at a time, one thing at a time, one success at at time. You can do it. Believe that you can.

I'm sorry to hear about this. You've been given good advice and you know what it takes and that you can accomplish what you set out to do.

I've heard the same advice from my SIL about making the meals for me that are healthy, feed it to the family and if they want to add anything into the mix it is up to them to make it and clean up after themselves.

Put yourself first. If you are not happy and healthy, no one in your family is.

If WW is not a happy thing try another program or change what you can, but count those calories. Use one of the many web sites that can help you.

Try to not use that "D" word. That is defeating. Make it a healthy lifestyle choice. Figure some fun into it.

Go, go go! :cheer2:

What about doing the WW CORE program?? You don't have to count points (aside from the 35 flexies per week) and you have an enormous list of foods to choose from!

:welcome: to WISH!

everyone has already spoken some of my thoughts......so i echo ::yes:: :)

depending on your starting weight, 5 lbs a month is reasonable and realistic. start to make changes litlttle at a time and they may help you transition into a healthier food lifestyle

how about water?? how much water do you drink a day??

and definately exercise......not only will you lose but you'll tone and tone muscles are smaller than fat as far as snug clothing goes

At my WW meeting they told us they will actually be changing the plan to bring together the best parts of core and flex (ie instead of weighing your chicken to determine how many points it is, it would be a flat number of points for any amount of chicken...excluding sauces of course). So perhaps this is the right time for you to join back up. It's going into effect on 12/6.

And as far as wanting to lose 10-15 pounds fast, I think there are other diets that will let you lose more weight early on, but that it's counter productive in the end because you can't maintain it. I could personally never cut out carbs. WW works for me, but it doesn't for everyone.

I've been running into problems with my family and WW meals. I know you don't want to have to cook two meals (one for yourself and another for the rest of your family), but maybe you could make variations of the meal. For example, make some chicken parm but don't bread your's or cook it in oil and use fat-free cheese instead of regular.

Good luck!

I am excited to hear about the WW changes that are coming. I have heard similar leaks aobut the core foods. I can't wait to hear about them.

No matter what eating plan you use WW or another, it all is going to come down to portion control, food not high in fat and food that is not empty calories.

Good luck.
