Hello everyone...
We are two weeks out from our trip and I have completely misplaced our gift cards. Not sure WHERE they are, because I have literally looked every single place in our little apartment where they could possibly be- including all purses and wallets, every shelf, nightstand, and desk. I called Disneygiftcard.com, who said to talk to Target.com. Target says they can't help me without knowing the full 16 digit number, and Disneygiftcard says the same. I spent all afternoon on the phone to no avail. Then I searched all over the place in our apt AGAIN.

So here's my last option I think. I have registered the cards on the Disneygiftcard.com website (THANK GOODNESS) and I THINK it should be possible to transfer all the balances to a new one if I buy a $50 gift card from Target.

Does anyone know if that is possible? The lady I spoke to thought it should be able to be done without requiring the pin numbers from the ones I've lost (since I don't have any other info other than what's on the website).

Anyway, if you could please, pleaseeee let me know if you've transferred balances before and if you've needed the pin for it. I don't want to buy another gift card if it ends up not being possible to do!

Thanks so much!

I've combine balances using the website many times. You should be able to do this without a problem. You don't need the PIN if you have already entered the GC on the website.

The website only permits you to have a total of 5 GCs stored in your account. If you already have all 5 slots filled, then combine two of those GCs and then delete the one with the zero balance. Then enter the newly purchased GC. Designate that GC as your primary card and then transfer all of the other cards onto it.

In the future, take a picture of the back of your GCs (with the scratch off removed) and either save them on your phone or email them to yourself. That way, you have a digital record of the account number and the security code.

I can't help with the question but have a couple ideas where to look- but before looking....think back to the day you added them to that account, what do you think you did next?

jewelry box
any place you keep things to pay bills or keep old paid bills
inside a book you might have been reading or a disney travel guide

Thanks for the suggestions! I checked the only jewelry box I have and the desk and shelf where we keep bills and travel papers. I feel like I looked everywhere possible! More than once! Just one of those things that's disappeared :(

You don't have to enter a pin at all. Sign in and add the new card. Designate that one as your master card and transfer all your balances to it!

Yay I was able to do this! Went to CVS (same company for activation as Target, Sam's Club and a few other places) and was able to buy a $25 card and transfer everything to. It's now in a safe place with everything else for the trip and will not be moved until the night before!! :D

I'm really sorry that you had to deal with that stress, but I can relate. This is typical of something I would do. :)

I am happy to see you recovered your funds!

I'm really good at 'saving' things and then not being able to find them.

Check the bags you were planning on using on your vacation, although it doesn't matter now.
