Lost camera

We can't find our little pocket camera anywhere. We're not sure if we lost it at a sporting event or if it's somewhere in our house, misplaced by our kids. I can think of several times it was used instead of our larger camera, but not which one was the last. If someone picked it up (assuming they didn't decide to keep it for themselves), if it's not in a lost and found somewhere (no luck yet), what are some ways that I might get it back? I know some people have been lucky with those lost camera/photo sites.

Any suggestions? I know the camera has some photos I'd like to have back. I can get over the loss of the camera. It stinks, but I really am sick over the photos.
