So, I lost my annual pass holder card on test track last night.I was using it because I forgot my magic band. I lost it at the gate just before you board the ride.

What is kind of funny is that I know exactly who found it nd picked it up because I received a picture from the ride of the people who were sitting where we would have been. I'm sure those people are completely unaware that pass holders get free ride pictures sent directly to their MDE accounts! I'm curious to see if they will be honest enough to turn it in (I deactivated it and got a new one, anyway).

Are you sure they took it and it wasn’t put in there accidentally? I’ve definitely gotten plenty of random PP photos from rides around the time I rode something. And why would they even take it-it’s not like that would help them out with anything, especially photos, as they wouldn’t be able to access them.

The card won’t link the photos to your account. You have to scan the card under the photo for it to link. Only bands have long-range RFID capabilities.

I think everyone who replied may have taken my post as accusatory, which it wasn't meant to be. It was meant to be more humorous.

To the person who said only the bands link the pics... doesn't it seem a little coincidental that the picture was taken of these people literally 10 minutes after we boarded our cars? I don't think you're lying to me, but it seems a little strange that this is the first time I ever got someone else's picture and it was just after our ride.

The only thing that I suspect they could gain if they DID find it on the ground and take it is free parking. I've noticed that parking cast members don't take much time to check ID's or scan the AP when going through the parking payment lanes.

The one thing I HATE about internet forums is that you can never tell the tone or nuances of what a person is saying. In other words, it seems that my tone came across in a different way than I intended, and the replies seemed a little snooty (I'm sure they weren't meant to! Please don't flame me for this!)

In other news... had a GREAT day today which is not normal for me :). Spent WAY too much money on Christmas and I DON'T CARE!

So I'm assuming this picture was at the same attraction you lost your card at? Maybe it was lost in the vehicle and nothing of their doing? Sorry, I don't have AP so don't know exactly how that works (pictures...whether you have to proactively scan your AP or the attraction just senses it, etc.)

I doubt it was for free parking. I mean, they were in the park already and would receive free parking at anywhere they go to that day if they drove at all.

Only thing I could think of is the discounts at stores and restaurants. Again, I don't have an AP so not sure how those work (ID needed, etc.)

Maybe they picked it up, rode the ride, and than went to turn it in somewhere later on....or forgot.

Well, luckily it wasn't a credit card (like I accidentally left at the supermarket early yesterday morning...but the cashier had it when I noticed and returned back).
