Lost and Found

I lost my camera tripod in Epcot.

My husband, some friends, and I were walking around the shooting fountains towards the entrance of Epcot. I removed my camera from my carry case to take some pictures of the fountains. We walked over to the water falls near Innovations and I went to get my tripod to take some pictures. My tripod was gone. I am not even sure how it fell out of my bag. The tripod legs were balls of hard plastic so I would have thought that I would have heard it or felt it fall from my camera bag.

I stood in line for 35 minutes at guest services. Apparently the woman in front of me didn't know that she was suppose to make dinner reservations before coming to WDW (it was during December 5 to 10) and was upset that her family of 10 couldn't get into a sit down restaurant (she was from another country). So she was trying to make dinner reservations with the only person working guest services and the line was backing up ever so slowly. Eventually another guest service member appeared.

I left my information but sad to say that my tripod was never return. But on a good note the tripod will be hard to use by the person who didn't turn it in. Attached to my camera was the clip that hooks to the tripod. So there to the person who "stole" my tripod that I lost. :lmao:

Last summer, I was leaving IASW (why I chose to ride it solo, I still have no idea, but I plead heat stroke....) when I found a teddy bear and child's blanket sitting in the middle of the walkway. I scooped them up and took them over to the nearest CM and explained to him where I had found them. His eyes lit up, and he told me, "Wait right there, they just left!" He went running (OK, maybe power walking) around a corner and came back a minute later with a VERY relieved looking mother, who explained that her daughter was in meltdown over her lost Boo-Boo and Blankie and that I had just saved the day.

Crisis averted! :cool1:

Dad left a new pair of sneakers at Vero Beach once. We were on a split DVC trip and he realized it just as we were checking in at SSR. Apparently our conversation was overheard by our front desk CM and she contacted VB and had the shoes delivered to SSR!

I found a camera in a bathroom in Epcot last year. I'll admit I took a photo of the toilet and then found a CM in hopes they could find the owner.

Overheard someone say he lost his wife. Asked if he found her he said no, he was having too much fun and never got around to going to lost and found.:rolleyes1
