Just a note to let everyone know that the fridge was in excellent working condition as of the 14th of September. It's bigger than I realized it would be and significantly larger than the little black ones you pay for when you get them from POP. The coffee maker also made my life happier!

Great News!!! What type of filters does the coffee maker need? Do we need to buy some and add to the swap? I guess everyone could get their own coffee or maybe use the coffee/ filter things... I am not a coffee drinker myself by my wife and in laws love it and I would like to be prepared! Thanks again for the update!

The coffee maker uses the small basket-type filters. I just brought a few of my own from home and I left the few extras I had, probably only a half dozen or so. I also brought my own coffee, though you can purchase it in the POP giftshop. It's the Mickey brand and I have no idea if it's drinkable or not-it's probably pretty pricey.

The coffee maker is also like new. Folks are really taking care of things!

HAHAHA That is what I thought when I seen it too! But....taking frozen water with me to the parks was wonderful!

A NOTE TO EVERYONE:
**POP can be a snot about claim tickets. One day they will give you a claim ticket, the next day they won't. It depends on the person who is helping you.

**The thermostat is a little touchy. The first couple of days it frozen everything in the fridge (apples, cream cheese, etc.) but I think I have it set now.

**I tried cleaning the outside up a little. It was tape heaven from all the previous swappers and really needed a good outside cleaning.

**There is also 4 bowls with the fridge and I left some water too.

Mercenary: You might want to have someone put your information on the fridge incase it goes missing. One of the CMs said they have over two dozen fridges in storage.

Thank you for doing the swap. It was a Godsend for us!!

So my time is coming up in less than a month (arriving Nov 7), but there is more than a week opening between myself and the swapper before me.

So what's the odds it will still be there when I get there?

I am reading on other boards they are starting to clear things out nightly and not holding anything for more than 24 hours.

Should I be worried there will be no fridge when we arrive?

Just reporting in that I dropped off the fridge on 10/9 as scheduled. Everything went well for us. I did not make it out to get a toaster to add to it as I had hoped - our guest vacationer got dehydrated/overheated; then bit by a spider, then got a bad cough and cold, so we spent our extra time dealing with his issues.

They did not give us any claim check on the fridge, but it was well marked with info for the next swapper. We just returned from our cruise today and will spend one more day at AK and/or Epcot and then head for home.

Hello swappers!

I coordinate a Pop Fridge Swap (#2) on the TourGuideMike forums. It seems that our fridge (and enclosed coffeepot, etc.) went missing in September and I'm trying to track it down. Meanwhile, Pop gave one of our swappers a fridge that doesn't belong to us. I have a feeling that they gave our fridge to another fridge swap group.

I have asked our swapper who is currently at Pop to take a picture of the fridge and box that she has in the hopes that we can find it's true owner. A picture of our fridge box is my avatar over there to the left. If anyone has seen the fridge, could you please, please contact me so that we can get our swap going again?

I just got back and the fridge worked out great! I'm not sure if GhostLady ever picked up the fridge or not, but her information was still on the fridge. Luckily our fridge is easy to describe, so they were able to find it easily. I found the people I talked to to at Pop's Luggage Service very helpful and nice. There's a coffee pot inside the fridge; we never used it though, so we just put it back inside the fridge. The fridge should be there for the next swapper!
