Losing weight for our weddings!! See new thread.

:) Well done!!!!!
Weighed in this morning.

I lost 1lb....which is good....

But

I really hoped to lose more this week....1 pound a week isn't enough to get me to my 28lb goal in time for WDW so I need to step it up a bit!

Well done everyone on your weight loss!

Torsie - 1lb is brilliant! You've lost 5.5lbs already - so almost 1/2st now! Remember 1lb is the same as a tin of Beans, so when you think about it like that, that's a lot off your body!!

We had a takeaway (kebab) last night with DF's brother and girlfriend. I usually get Kofte Kebab with chip and loads of garlic mayo. I was very proud of myself - I got a chicken kebab, so just counted it as chicken breast as it's just grilled, and a big salad with some garlic mayo and a pitta bread. I think I pointed it as 9.5pts - I think it's under that, but I'd rather underpoint things!!

Boring lunch today :( Wafer thin turkey on brown bread (3.5pts) - I hate brown bread. I also have a WW Choc Bar with me to make up for it! (1.5pts)

Mmmm, Chicken Kebabs kept me going some days last time round! My kebab place knows me noqw as I'm the girls who has double salad, extra chillies and no pitta (if you do this it's only like 2.5pts!!!!)

If you get hellmanns extra light mayo 3 tables spoons is 0.5 points!!

I did my Monday-morning weigh-in today. I'm at 142.4, so my Week 1 loss was 0.2. Not much, but a loss is a loss so I'm happy about it :-)

I didn't expect much this week after a pretty big 4 pound loss last week. So, I'll keep at it and hopefully have something more to report next week.

Just finishing off my lunch now - I'm stuffed!

I had:

Vegetable soup (2pts)
Cous Cous (3pts)
And salad with fat free dressing, I don't think I had enough dressing to count, but 've put 0.5pts to be safe.

So lunch is 5.5 which is pretty good.

I always need a snack in teh afternoons, so I like to keep points available, I'll probably have a yoghurt.....well thats what I should have, but if the jaffa cakes get passed around the yoghurt will be quickly forgotten!

I was just thinking, as I lose weight, do I have to recalculate my daily points allowance with WW? ie, you get a daily point per stone you weigh, so as you drop to the next stone bracket, do you lose a point?

Exactly so!

I have 4 more pounds worth of 22 points, then when I'm in 12 stones I'll have 21.

Oh dear, I'm upset now :rotfl:
Gotta chop off an extra point every day now, I didn't realise that!!

If it's alright, I would like to join as well. I am getting married September 12th and would like to be down 30lbs by then. I have my dress fitting August 1 and would like to be down 20lbs by then. I started back in January at 196.4 and am down to 173.4. Not a lot, but I have also toned and gained quite a bit of muscle (which weighs more than fat). So August goal is 153. September goal is 143. Not sure I will be able to do it, but I know as long as I work out and eat healthy (I am also on WW) then I will be happy :) By the way, my name is Holly, I am 26 and from New Hamphire :wave2: I was always small when I was younger but I got sick when I was 18 and the meds that I took caused me to gain 60lbs in 4 months :( I have struggled ever since. I lost the weight once but when I met DF gained all of it back plus some! :scared1: Why is it that when we meet men who we love they make us gain weight but they stay in shape? lol :confused3

Hi Holly!!! :)

So happy you want to join us too! :cheer2:

I'll add you on tonight!

I'm not sure if I'll be able to do my 18lbs by August either, but I figure it can't hurt to try! (Well it could, but I am going to be sensible and not starve myself of anything!)

Ooo this is awesome! I started at 125 and now I am at 118! Trying to get to 115 by the wedding!

You would need to bring your points down..I am 5' 8' and 153 and suppose to be on 20pts a day for maintenance..I would think 20 would be good for taking you through August..

If you can find some WW muffins..they are very low in points but fill you up..I only like the blueberry but they have LOTS of fiber and fiber is your friend!
I also like the Dreamfield's Pasta if you can find it..high in fiber so it brings down your points. I eat a lot of apples too...they have some enzyme that helps fill you ...I eat them for my morning and afternoon snacks and even if it is in my head..I feel full quicker at my next meal.

Good luck girls!

Hi Holly!! Welcome to the Weight Loss thread!!

Good luck everyone! Tor, that's how I feel about mine TBH... after so much your weight loss just slows right down, don't you think? I'm not expecting a huge weight loss this week, but I'd like to lose 1lb which will take me to 12st 13.5lbs!

I feel really hungry today - but that could be because of the Texas de Brazil reservation I've just made for Orlando.

Yep, I bet I'll put it all back on!

Great Job Ladies! :thumbsup2 A very good first week!

I'll post some WW recipes this week for the WW ladies, my mom is doing WW for the wedding and has told me some recipes that sound really tasty (although I can not eat them now).

I was really excited last night because I tried tilapia and it really was not that bad (I'm really not a fish person). At least it was something besides chicken  although it tastes like chicken.

Keep up the good work! :cool1:

ooh, recipes sound awesome!!

For all you WW ladies this is my absolute favourite WW website!!

http://www.freewebs.com/noreenblackett/index.htm

It may only be helpful for UK ladies, but the wonderful woman who made it has basically done the points values of most restaurants and shop sandwiches and stuff you can get in the UK!!!!

Torsie, that site is awesome! I have it bookmarked  It's better than the Eating Out book WW have!

Well, I haven't eaten anything so far today, I've been up sick all night so I don't want to eat at all. In bed at the moment, which sucks as I was planning to get to the gym today. I think I'll try eat a bit of tea though, I'll probably make something quick like spag bol.
