Could this present a problem?

Example: You're on a Disney trip. One afternoon you're leaving your room and pass someone (anyone, resort guest or NOT a resort guest) in the hall on your way to the pool. They notice you and what room you are in. Later at the pool this person sees you and notices your MB falling off. Grant you most people will let you know BUT WHAT IF this person just picks up your MB and heads to your room. Remember they know where your room is. What stops them from entering the room?:worried:

Is there a safty feature I don't know about to stop this from happening.

I know it's a long shot but it could happen.

This past OCT trip my SonIL's MB came off in the BWV pool and he didn't even know it. Some little girl found it on the bottom and turned it in to the Lifeguard doing the music for the kids. She keep calling his name but he never answered, I was in the pool at the time and heard his name and call him over and yes it was his. Later that day in our room my MB popped off but I felt it dropping.

Same thing could happen if you dropped your KTTW card.

I think this is being pretty paranoid. All you have to do to get into someone else's hotel room is stalk the cleaning ladies. Once they are in a room they almost always clean with the door open, just walk in and pretend it's yours. I think this is a far easier solution for a thief than stalking someone hoping their magic band falls off. Also, lock your valuables in your safe and stop worrying about such obscure scenarios.

i second this. You have to watch your MB, your KTTW card, wallet, kids, etc. Part of life. An MB is probably less likely to accidentally fall off without you noticing than a card falling out of your pocket or being left in your clothes by the side of the pool, etc.

Yes, and your KTTW card has even more info on it, like your full name and dates of stay.

Very true.

I found that using a slider helped to keep the MB on, and the coverband helped even more. You can even make your own, if the styles they have for sale don't tempt you.

In October both my adult son and daughter had their magic bands fall off. My daughter's was turned into Guest Services, my son's was not. For me, the moral of the story is no charging privileges on the Magic Hassle Bands. I must say that on our December trip, the MB did work much better, and I am figuring out how to choose later FP+ times to get out of our rush to the parks at rope drop to get FP for rides like Toy Story Mania. I may be able to get into touring in a truly vacation like style :thumbsup2

You still need a pin for every purchase so even if someone did try to charge things on your son's, nothing would have happened. If he dropped his room key that would have been a bigger issue. No pin required.
