Hello...

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right place but i was wondering if there is any special Disney magic that might happens if my son loses his tooth when we're at the world. :) We'll be staying at AKL. His second loose tooth could go soon and I thought it might be special to have a disney moment!

Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks!!! :hippie:

Our DS lost a tooth on a trip a couple years ago. He was very into pin trading, so the tooth fairly brought a pin instead of a $. DS still talks about it.

We bought a cute tooth fairy pillow at MGM a few years ago in the store that personalizes towels, etc. We had DD's name put on it. Not sure if they still have them.

You might have Tink :tinker: come along with the TF to bring a little extra something. Don't forget some pixie dust! pixiedust:

I see a lot of references around here to "pixie dust" and I understand most of the time it just refers to an act that enhances the magical aura of Disney.

But is there an actual product pixie dust too?

I have the best memory of my daughter first lost tooth.

We (me and DD) had the tea party at the Grand Floridian, she was dresses to the nine in her Cinderella costume and matching American Girl Cinderella. We were waiting on the bus to go back to Saratoga. It was when it first opened so the busses were SLOW and no one was around.

Her tooth was wiggling by one nerve and we where playing around. I was thumbing at her saying I was going to knock it out. Well I did! I accidently hit her tooth and out it pops. We where both laughing, she was bleeding A LOT, I had no wipes and she had a mouth of blood. I told her to try and spit the blood into the trash can so proceeds to spit all over the outside of the can everywhere.

OMGosh we defaced DISNEY!

When people started coming to get the bus I finally was able to get a couple of wipes one for mouth and another for the can.

If it can find the picture I will post it. That day was one of the best, funniest days of my life. We still laugh about it and still remembers how and where she lost her first tooth.

Crystal Palace eve me a bag of little Mickey heads the shiny kind for DD scrapbook. I just asked. When I asked at Guest Relations they told me that I could pick them off the street after the parade but they dont sell them and they dont give them away:confused3 . I mentioned it at Crystal Palace to our server how we had to get out after the parade to pick the streets and she gave me some. They use them for b-days. You could ask for some at the restaurants and use them when the tooth pops out.

Not sure if there's anything specific but my DD lost a tooth while we were staying at DLR in May. The TF gave her more $ than she would have at home since she knew vacations are more expensive. LOL

I would have something special ready, just in case. Maybe a small Disney toy to tuck under the pillow with the money (of course I mean that the tooth fairy will tuck under the pillow!).

My almost 10 year old son finally finished losing a molar the other day. The dang thing came out in 4 separate pieces. Apparently the new tooth popped up and broke the baby tooth. I've never heard of this happening but his orthodontist said it's fairly common. One piece came out during our cruise in June. He wanted to know if the tooth fairy would find him at sea. I told him she wouldn't come for each piece, only the last one because that would mean the whole tooth was finally out. So the last piece came out the other night - 8 months after the 1st piece. The fairy left $5 for that battle!:)

DS lost a tooth at AKV this past April. In our house, the tooth fairy usually leaves $1.00 per tooth. DS was worried that the tooth fairy might not be able to find him at WDW. When he woke up, he was very happy to learn that the tooth fairy had found him, and that she left $5.00 (in Disney Dollars)!

Thanks for all the great ideas!!! :) I think I might get some Disney Dollars while we're there and leave those under his pillow, even though he already doesn't believe in the tooth fairy. The kid is too smart for his own good. :) I will also tell the CM if there's one around and see what they can do...you never know with those guys! They work some amazing magic.

I really appreciate all the ideas! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Yea, but if the tooth fairy pays him a special visit at WDW he'll be rethinking that one!

All I know is Grandma is now paying $3 per tooth; man I was robbed!

On our last visit to WDW, our son lost a tooth. On a previous visit he had heard that the Tooth Fairy wasn't allowed to work on Disney property and that Tinkerbell fulfilled those duties. Here is what Tinkerbell left for his tooth.

A CM took my DD 12 under wing to share pixie dust find when she learned that older sister passed away she wanted to do something special in memory from the trip the year before when her sister was with us.

The CM directed us undet the train station at the entrance to the WDW kingdom, there is a shop under the train. This shop CM gave my DD pixie dust, it is tiny colored mickey heads and told her to think of something special she did the year before with her sister, and then she threw some over her shoulder.....There was some in a little envelope she gave DD. It is a precious treasure to DD,

we stayed at pop from tues, aug 12 - sat, aug 16. tuesday, the day we checked in, she pulled a very loose tooth right out! she was SO excited! we immediately headed for DTD so we could hit the atm and the world of disney store. the tooth fairy left her $1 and (never to be outdone by another fairy) tink left her 5 disney dollars! :wizard:

i called the office at pop and asked if they ever celebrate kids losing their first loose tooth and the lady acted like i was nuts for asking - "uh, nooo. <hangs up>" (supposedly this was a manager too!)
so much for that! still, we made sure it was magical for our DD and SHE sure was excited on her own!! :cheer2:

i'm glad to hear that other places and CM's went above and beyond for some of you!! that's awesome! :thumbsup2

also, just an fyi, we tipped mousekeeping $5 every day of our stay (except the last) and left our room pretty spotless for them and received zero towel critters. bummer! :confused3
