Los Angeles Help!

My guy and I will be arriving in LA (from Vegas, Baby!) on a Monday morning to Tuesday at around midnight. Our flight leaves from LAX at 6am on Wednesday We will have to return a rental car, so we would have to be at LAX at around 4am. Is there anything we could do/places to hang out at from midnightish to 4am? we dont really think its worth it to rent a hotel room on tuesday. any advice? please?

guess i should mention and ask for help in finding a hotel for monday night! we'll be attending the los angeles short film festival at the arclights cinema. any nice (but inexpensive) hotels in the area?
