Whilst looking online to see what we can do on a short stay in LA prior to heading over to DLR, came across the GO Card. All the things we were wanting to do anyway (plus lots of others we hadn't thought of) are included - Universal, Santa Monica Pier, Knotts Berry Farm (whilst we are near Disney). Looks really exciting so thinking of extending our stay in LA and buying a 7 day card.

Question is can you do some things more than once - looks the City sightseeing buses are a great way to get around with the hop on and off thing so wondered if we could use these as a methiod of transportation and use more than one day (not planning on hiring a car). Also as fans of US, may decide to go more than once.

Also do you think that the Hollywood Walk of Fame area would be a good central location to get around places - have been looking at several hotels in the area, including the Hilton Garden Inn about half a mile from the Chinese Theater.

We just finished planning our trip to CA. We just did an internet search and found Frommer's Las Angeles. This website rates hotels and restuarants. We have bought the book before and it really helped.

I would assume that the GO Cards are the same as the ones sold in San Diego. If you buy a multi-day card, then you can go as often as you want. I have seen people with a 5 day ticket go to the Zoo for a little bit each day.
