Hi everyone,

I am not obese, not really even overweight, but I am trying to lose that last 10 lbs that just won't seem to go away. I registered about 6 weeks ago and finally got my account validated today, so I thought I would introduce myself.

I'm a tiny gal (4 foot 11), 26 years old and 102 lbs. I have lost about 5 lbs in the last 7 weeks when I started my program, but for the last 3 or 4 weeks, the scale hasn't moved. I know my weight is almost where it should be, so my body probably is rebeling a bit. I'm a perfectionist and want to see the numbers on the scale move to my target goal.

I have noticed however, that in the last few weeks, my clothes are alot more loose, so I'm probably gaining a bit of muscle instead. I did start a bit of muscle training this week which I hope will help get those last few pounds off.

My workout plan and food intake consists of the following:

1200 cal a day, focusing on healthy foods. I'm trying to eat healthy but eat mostly lean cuisines as I hate cooking and am a poor student.
one treat a week - ice cream, chocolate bar, etc.
one fast food meal every 3-4 weeks

50 minutes of cardio with about 35 min at my target heart rate or above
10 minutes of crunches and squats
added this week : muscle training focusing on my inner thighs which is my problem area.

I think at this point I am interested more in toning up than losing any more.

anyways! glad to meet you all!

Be careful and don't try to get to thin. You probable are already at a very healthy weight.
Merry Christmas!!!:goodvibes

Are you trying to lose weight for Disney?

Just curious why your first post on the Disboard is about losing weight?

If you are truly only 102 lbs, losing 10 lbs would make you way too thin.92 lbs is simply not a healthy weight even for that height of only 4'11.

Hi. Welcome to the Disboards! There is another board that you need to check out:

As a lifestyle coach, my first reaction is not to focus on the number but the process. Too many people focus too much on what the scale says, and if you are noticing things like clothes fitting looser, having more energy, and just feeling better overall...stick with what you are doing. Every body is different! Some recommendations:
1. Never ever drop below 1200 calories. In fact, based on the amount of exercise you are doing (which is great!), you may need to eat MORE calories. I know...strange concept, but it works. Don't just add empty calories, rather focus on eating more lean meats/dairy (protein to help build muscle), fruits and veggies.
2. Change up your exercise routine. Your body may be getting used to what you are doing, which will cause a plateau. Sometimes just changing the order of your exercise can make a difference.
2. Keep up the great work - find some way to reward yourself for the good work. I think your plan of having a treat weekly is wonderful...don't want to feel deprived.
And just keep up the awesome job. I talk to people all the time about making changes, and it is a difficult thing to do. Change is a process - won't happen overnight, even though we want it to.
