Looks like we will be driving next year

We say down to plan our trip next September. We usually go every other year but because of various family situations we will be going next year and the year after. So in an effort to save some money we are driving (unless ticket prices nose dive or united makes another mistake that I am lucky enough to get).

I'm honestly not looking forward to it. It's a long drive from nj. We think the in land route over two days would be best for us and our girls who will be five at the time of the trip. I hope I can survive this long in the car.

I'm not a fan of long drives like that either. But I guess if it came down to no going or driving, I would drive too.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that airline tickets go down enough that you can fly to WDW.

Thanks. I know I'm whining. I mean I have to go twice in two year instead o every other year. What a fwp. Hopefully my new business will take off and we can get the tickets.

Frontier Airlines is flying out of Wilmington Delaware to MCO now. One flight a day, not every day of the week, but fares are pretty good. It may be worth it to just drive that far.

I plan on stalking flights out of trenton, delaware, philly and lga on frontier.

Anything sub $100 each way gets snapped up!

We're south of you in Virginia, and we drive every year. It really isn't bad. We pack plenty of DVD's, and our younger dd who's 8 has brought her Nintendo since she was five. It allows us to bring drinks and snacks not only on the road, but for when we get to WDW. Also the kids can pack some small other things they enjoy (younger dd enjoys Legos and Barbies).

We only drive (from NJ also) and we love it. We actually look forward to it!! The kids can be a handful at times, but just get them tons of games, movies and snacks to keep them busy. It really isn't that bad. Just do things to keep yourselves busy and it will be fun! Good luck and enjoy!

We bought tickets from Spirit out of ACY, $55 each way, under $170 total each person with all fees.

I drove our nuclear family and extended family in a Thrifty rental van from Tennessee to Florida and back for our Disney cruise in May. I have vowed from now on we will always fly. IMO it's worth the extra expense to keep my sanity.
