AUGHHH!

Sorry, I just need to vent... I love my husband but sometimes he is so inconsiderate it isnt funny! I called him at work around 2 ish asking if I could go to our local high schools production of Into the Woods and if he could watch Emma. I told him that i needed to leave around 6:30 and if he would be home on time because i needed to do a few things before I left (he gets home around 6PM)
well i call at 4:40 to remind him that i needed to leave at 6:30 ish.... his tells me that he is going to be staying a few minutes later to help a friend and will be home at 6:15 the lastest! Fine as long as he is home by 6:30......

well big surprise. Its is now 5:45 and he hasnt LEFT YET. Yes it takes an hour to get home. Do the math. He tells me they had problems and that is leaving in a minute but will be home by 7....

Umm what part of the " I need to leave by 6:30" didnt he get? He tells me that Well I though you needed to leave by 7...

umm no the show starts at 7. yes it right around the corner but being in theatre myself I hate going to shows late...plus i need to feed the horses( which i cant do till he come home cuz i cant leave emma inside by herself with dinner on.......

so looks like im going to be late...................... :furious:

thanks for listening to my vent....... :cool1:

Our husband's must be related somehow. My DH can't get anywhere on time...the concept of "on time" doesn't seem to be in his schema of things.

I've come to understand his version of things...if he says he'll be somewhere in 20 minutes, I know that it'll be about 40. Half hour is about and hour, etc...I just double the time that he says.

If he says he'll be somewhere at a certain time, I can expect him to be about 1/2 to an hour late.

However, he always makes it ontime to work! If work, why not home for dinner? Irritating!

:grouphug:

I couldn't imagine a husband wanting to help a friend rather than his wife :guilty: I am sure you are livid :furious:

Although, if this is the first time this has happened, I would let it slide.

If this is an ongoing thing, sit down and talk with him. Don't do it while you are angry, though.

As for tonight, is there any way you can take Emma to the production and have your DH meet you there to take her home?

yikes good luck with that!

My dh is late a lot too. Drives me insane!!!

I just tell him something is earlier than it is. That way we usually manage to get there on time. Darn the church bulletin though, it says what time it starts, we're always late there.
