Looking to visit Southern Ontario

If you end up going to Marineland, I believe that a discount is available with CAA/AAA. Also, if this is somewhere where you may want to spend a couple of your Niagara Falls days at, a seasons pass is only an additional $5.00 each on top of the admission charge.

There is a zoo in the Niagara Falls area called Zooz that I really enjoyed and I agree with the pp that Port Dalhousie is a nice place to go on a nice summers day.

Beware, mass construction is going to be starting in Port Dalhousie. Not sure when but they are pretty much levelling it to make room for condos with stores and restaurants underneath. The Merry Go Round will stay though,

I would suggest Paradise Valley Campground near Grand Bend......lots of fun stuff to do for the family. Also, the Flea Market just outside of town is a great way to spend a Sunday. North of Grand Bend, on Lake Huron, is Goderich. This is a beautiful small town, with a fantastic beach. Also, their museum is pretty good too and handson/kid friendly.

Sounds like a fantastic family vacation you have planned!!!

If you you like history check out the forts in the Niagara area. Fort George,Fort Erie, Fort Niagara(us side) Queentson Heights is a great place for a walk around. The Niagara parkway is great for a drive and there is a lot of picnic places along the river. Have a great trip.

I wouldn't recommend Yogi Bear Campground in Niagara Falls. It is very noisy - right beside the QEW. The campsites are in a parking lot covered in gravel. The kid entertainment is great.

The Pinery in Grand Bend is great! I also like Point Farms in Bayfield!

The maid of the Mist tour is Awesome. If you do get that chance, do it!! As far as Marine Land goes, my kids like it, mainly for the rides. I thought it was ok for what Canada's got but definately does not compare to Sea World.

If it's not too far out of your way, and your kids are into thrill rides, you could always check out Canada'a Wonderland. It's not a Disney Theme park, but for when we can't get to disney, it's a good trade off for us. Definately check into that Ontario Attractions guide. They have coupons for most places that have been mentioned here, and may give you some other ideas as well! :)
