Looking to stay near Disney for a month

I have an opportunity to work from the Orlando area during January and was wondering if anyone had any ideas for reasonable accommodations. I have found some vacation resort condos but they are upwards of $1600 per month, which is a hard number to swallow. I for sure need someplace with a good internet connection but beyond that am pretty flexible. It will be just my husband and I staying there. Any ideas?

Try airbnb or homeaway maybe?

I have had good luck with both. I always look for places with a lot of reviews.

I would think the further you are from Disney the less expensive the places might be.

When we were last at Tropical Palms Resort checking in, there was a gentleman at the counter who was paying his monthly rent & I recall it being between $1,100 & $1,200. The rate may have been based on multiple months, but it might be worth a shot. We stayed 8 nights for $393 total, so it wouldn't seem unreasonable to get a single month for the price the gentleman paid.

Agree with PP. Except for vacation rentals, it is hard to find a place for just one month

I'm not sure of the locations or amenities, but my brother in law stayed in an Extended Stay America for a couple weeks in Orlando before he moved there.

My parents spend the winter at Winter Garden RV Resort. It's $600-$800 per month depending on type of site/month. Obviously, if you don't have a camper, you'd have to rent for additional money, and I don't know what that would cost; but I do know that an RV place right across the street from the resort rents RVs because family rented from them this winter while visiting my parents.
