Looking to buy a new camcorder any ideas

I`m looking to buy a new camcorder, and need some ideas. I don`t want to spend alot of $$$ 600 will be my top. What I would like to get is a camcorder that will take action shots like parades. And night shots for the night parades.Zoom not sure how much I would need. What is the best for WDW. We get to Disney 2 to 3 times a year. And I would love to have video of some of our great times. We use digital cameras and take lots of pics. I have looked at some at walmart and other places. Just not sure which will work at WDW and what I want to take? Thank you for your time and help.

I played with my sister's new Sony DCR-DVD 405 this AM. I also watched some video she had shot last week at Sea World, the beach, and also some in home shots. The video was really good. I was really impressed with her low-light shots inside the penguin viewing area. They had the lights off, penguin sleeping time . The video was very clear. I was just checking it out on the Best Buy and sonystyle.com sites. You might also consider checking out the photography board site. There is a sticky about camcorders.

I'd stick with MiniDV instead of DVD; it's a much more stable medium.
