I'm having a hard time locating 8 day passes. I thougth discountorlando had them, but they don't. :confused3

We just got 10 day non-exp hoppers from ticketmania with 5 extras for 359 adult and 324 child. This was actually less than the 8 day non-exp hopper with extras (372 adult and 330 child). The 8 day base price at ticketmania is 230 adult and 161 child. This was a special rate through the May Mousesaver.

Ticketmania has them- sign up for the newsletter at mousesavers.com to get a discount on the tickets. (Link to discount ticket prices will be in the newsletter which comes the 15th of each month)

I got mine through Ticketmania and it worked out beautifully! They were great (and $1 cheaper than their 7 day...)

I just had to go back and look, because we bought 7-day passes from TicketMania, and I wondered if I had overlooked being able to get an extra day for the same (or lesser) price. You must have purchased the 8-day parkhopper passes that expire 14 days after first use. Oddly enough, those are priced at $1 less than the same tickets for 7 days - (and they're only $2/day more for 9 and 10-day passes).

However, when you buy the non-expiring passes (as we did), it's a whole different story. It would have cost us $60 more to add the 8th day to our base passes (no parkhopping), although the 9th & 10th days would have been only $2 more each. (For non-expiring parkhoppers, the difference between the price for 7-day and 8-day passes is $50, then $2/day for the 9th & 10th days).

Now I remember that I did check all of this information carefully - many times - before I ordered our passes. Since we bought tickets to MVMCP, we thought we might need only 3 park days this trip - 4 at the most. The difference in price between 3 and 4 days was only $13, so we probably would have bought 4 days - just in case.

However, since the difference in price between a 4-day non-hopping ticket that would expire, and a 7-day non-hopping non-expiring ticket was only $57, we decided to go for it - and just assume that we'll make it back to Disney World again in the coming years.

Although I haunt these boards daily, and have gained lots of useful information, we are sporadic Disney visitors. Our last trip was in 2000, and the previous one was at least 5 years before that. This year DD's fiancee will be joining us (for his first ever trip to WDW). The fourth member of our party is my 14-year-old granddughter. Hopefully, we can use up our "extra" days on another Disney trip before she goes off to college and stops wanting to spend time with mom and grandma. :goodvibes
