Evening all!!!

Hello from sunny Wales!!!

This is my first post for a very long time and would like to thank you in advance for your help.

Myself and my girlfreiend are planning a 3 week holiday next September, i have been to Disney as a child but my girlfriend has never been-excited is an under statement!!

We have seen advertised that Disney are offering free dining for holidays between August the 2nd and October the 2nd i think so have been checking prices, im really flexible on dates and it seems to good a deal to turn down?

Im quite confused in what to do or who to book with whether to book a package or individually, i have a price of £1442.30 each for 21 nights in POR or POFQ direct with disney, free dining (counter) and the 21 ultimate disney pass as well as flights with Virgin on the 7th of September from Gatwick? We can aslo upgrade the dining plan for £4 each a day?

I am unsure if it might be cheaper to book a fly drive and a hotel seperately on I Drive but then you have all of your food costs? there is so much info out there i was wondering if anyone had any advice before i spend days checking prices and gathering information.

Any advise and info would be greatly appreciated?
Thanks

Eirian and Abbey

I don't know very much about the free dining... and I'm not sure how the USD exchange rate has changed since I was in the UK, but for 21 nights... 1442.30 each sounds pretty good. I wish I could be more of a help.. Good luck!

I noticed you have this in pounds, what is it in USD? Do you know?

When I was in the UK in 2006 it was $1.76 for 1 pound. Now that I really think about it... the price is questionable? We stay at a couple of Deluxes when we go so for a Moderate I don't know what the pricing is like.

currently it is $1.82 to the £1, would i be better to book on an american website to take advantage of the exchange rate, im not sure how it works?

I think what you have to do is try all methods, work it out and see which is most practical and cost effective for you. That is what we did. There really is no right or wrong way. I prefer to do it all myself and hunt for the best deal and change and alter, etc, but many other prefer to get TA's to do the work. Same with the packages, I book air, hotel and car seperate, but you do not have to and there are benefits to booking either way.

Good luck!!
