Hi all,

I'm looking to book for a good while down the road - May 2016 and found rates I'm happy with - I just need to pick a week.
I can do Monday - Friday any week in May 2016.
Is there one that would be particularly better than another?
I remember getting caught out before with a busier than anticipated park one year and it was due to longer bank holidays or something along those lines. Has anyone got a good knowledge of what to expect?

Thanks in advance
xx

I have booked Mon 9th to Fri 13th May 2016, I research the dates and could not find any school holidays or public holidays in Europe on those days.

1st and 8th may are public hols in France.
Also ascension Thursday and whit Monday but they depend on when Easter is.

In 2016 the following days in May are public holidays

1-5-8-16

and you've got French school holidays going up to the 9th of May.

But you'll find that a lot of people will be taking their holidays in May as it's use them or lose them time. Our 2.5 days holiday per month go from May to May and not Jan-Dec so if you have any left many work places make you take them before the end of May and not carry them forward to the next year. :)

I think easter is late March in 2016 but I'm not 100% sure. Thanks Dee :thumbsup2

Ok so it's going to be busy anyway! Which would you lean towards? I know it's guess work because looking at the info I'd be thinking the week starting the 9th might be best as schools are back but could people combine their holidays with the 8th and make it longer meaning it wouldn't be a good week! Or would the week of the 16th br liable to be busier or just the 16th itself? Or I could just go the last week and hope most people chose to use their holidays before that week. I am so out of my depth on this! Thanks for your help x

:thumbsup2 thanks Jonjo - it's a minefield! We hit a bank holiday Monday on our honeymoon and I think all we managed was like 2 rides and a quick photo with Mickey! It was crazy busy we were also exhausted.

My back up plan for if it is really busy is have a wonder around the shops in the Disney Village and then head to Cafe Fantasia for a few cocktails.

May 2012 was very busy (was this the same time you were there?) I think we were there 6th for about 3 days and we didn't get that much done.

Hopefully you'll manage to pick a few days that suit.

Good thinking re cocktails. It'll be my birthday so it would be awful sad if I didn't manage a couple anyway ;)

That was it Julie! I'm not confined to any dates in particular so I'm fairly free and easy. I actually think I'd rather wait til the week after my birthday so that would be the week of the 23rd. Celebrate the weekend and then leave for DLP on the Monday morning :thumbsup2
thanks for your help xx
