Well, I'm not saying I'm fat or anything. But over the winter, I have "pigged out" and dained a little weight. I want to lose maybe 10 pounds or so, just to look good in my new bathing suit. Any suggestions of how to lose this weight fast? I don't have much time before my pool party I'm throwing at the end of May. :confused3

i'm in the same boat...kind of. i want to be a little more slim. Cuz I am going to my cousins wedding in the begining of June and I want to look good, cuz it is on the beach. What I did was I went to my doctor and asked what kind of foods I should eat. and then I also play a sport and I do some ab exercizes everynight.

I've got basically the same problem, ate soo much over the winter, gained 10 pounds, trying to lose it quick before summer.

basically, I'm working out more and trying to eat less junk food... We'll just have to see if it works =P

(ps i would highly reccomend the book: "The Diet: for teenagers only" its a diet designed specifically for teenage girls, and so far its working...)

Are you in a sport? Im in competitive cheer and dance and i practice almost every day in the week, also if you have a trampoline you can jump on that or if you have a pool, run in the water.. it works for me

I dont have any of your problems! (Not to brag it in)

I'm really skinny. Not that I'm anorexic but my metabolisim is fast and I can pig out and eat all the greasy junk food in the world and gain pounds but it
doest really show. (Woo Hoo!! :cool1: )

My doctor says I will be skinny like this when I grow up. Its not bad its just that sometimes people do start making fun of me because of this but I just shove right back at them!! LOL

Good luck guys! You might want to do daily exercises for at least one hour or more. You defiently have to cut down on the sugars and eat wheats, veges, and fruits. Check out this website its all about nutrition: www.mypyramid.gov

If you click on My pyramid on the left hand side you can fill in some info about your self and then you can print out a sheet that says the amount of each food group you have to eat daily to stay healthy and fit. To get this worksheet you: go on www.mypyramid.gov then click on My pyramid on the left hand side and fill in some info. Then you scroll down a little and click on Meal Tracking worksheet. Print it out it helps alot!

Good Luck!

I want to slim down for summer too.

Do you have a gym near you? Because I just joined a gym and I think it's really going to help. There is no real way to make you lose weight fast, for it's a change that will take time. Just eat right (don't eat cafeteria food, most of it is extremely unhealthy), excersize for at least an hour is basicaly it.

Fad diets don't really worrk either. You know... like 'Eat this and loose 10 pounds in 3 days!!!' Those never worked. (Well, at least for me they didn't :( )

Do daily chores like walk the dog, take out the trash, walk to the bus stop, do sit ups during commercials when you're watchingn TV.

Burn more calories than you take in. Thats the only way to lose weight.

Yes but you dont want to burn to much more...
Or go on like a 1,000 calorie diet.

I feel your pain. Although I really am well, large  It's been a huge goal of mine to someday wear a bikini, tighter clothes, etc. To help move this goal along, I've been doing tons of crunches at home, working out at the gym (we got a free six month membership), and trying to eat well. The working out part is no problem for me, the crunches get on my nerves, but oh well. I think the hardest part is eating right. I totally broke my diet (I go to a nutritionist) for almost a month, which threw me off a lot, so it feels like I got a month taken away. So, back to your problem. My advice would be to not waste time like I did, and stick to eating right, without a lot of sweets and carbs. And exercise, especially ab work if you want a flat stomach. So good luck, and I hope you get to wear that bathing suit! :)

I understand everyone is trying to lose weight for the Summer, but please no one go on some stupid crash diet! All it does is hurt you! Find healthy ways, consult a doctor, and ask for ways to lose weight properly! I don't want any of my fellow Diser's to become sick!

Easier said than done, lol and the big question is how :confused3
The easier question is, how not?

You burn calroies during everything you do. Biking, Swimming, Walking, hey even sitting there infront of the computer burns more calories.

Just keep track of how many calories you take in, know how many calories you burn when doing what, and make sure you burn more calories than you take in. Not that hard. :confused3

That is unless you have no self will or no self motivation, which I have little of. Lol. Luckly I was blessed with a speedy metabolism. :)

Duh! I"m hungry..will you go catch me a crab. :cutie: I think we are going to take over yet another thread.. Mwahahaha!

Hmm I don't understand why teens are so obsessed with loosing weight, it's a very serious matter.
Just make sure you don't go under 113 pounds that is the normal healthy weight. anything around 100 or lower is very bad. Anything over 150 you can get down a few. I'm 115, possibly even 120 now and I have no problems with how I look, if I have some extra side fat no big deal, infact I could gain a few pounds.
