My dh laughed at me on Friday because I took some extra time doing my hair, wore a little more makeup than usual because I was having my photo taken for my drivers license. Am I the only one who doesn't want to carry a bad photo around with me for the next 5 years?!?!?! LOL!

Part of the reason I did this was because I had a horrible license photo one time....My purse had been stolen and I had been crying a lot. And of course I needed to get a new license right away so my photo was absolutely horrible! Every time I looked at it, it reminded me of that BAD day. So this time, I wanted to look good and happy! (And my pic turned out GREAT I might add! heehee!) :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

Does anyone else make an effort to look good for your license photo? Tell me I'm not alone on this.....lol

I always try to look good because (don't laugh) it's usually the best picture I take. Whenever someone takes a picture of me, I look like I'm on drugs.

For whatever reason, the motor vehicle pictures always come out great. In fact one year it was so good I asked the guy if I could get copies.

:earsgirl:

Mine is not the best, Loz, LOL. Too bad you could not have used that one with Pluto, I like that one.

In Georgia, we can carry our DL pic longer than 5 years.;) I think I'm 27-28 yo in my DL. I'm 34 now. I think I've found the fountain of youth.:teeth:

So is your new Maryland license vertical instead of horizontal? My DD is ready to get a new license because she is done her provisional license but she doesn't like the new ones.

And, yes, I try to look decent for the picture but they always snap it before they warn you they are going to.

I like to look really crapy, so if I get pulled over after being out, I look like my picture :teeth:

I am gonna do the same thing when mine comes up for renewal in the fall!

I'm not sure what year my picture was last taken, but it has to be close to 10 years ago (1994?) and I still had 80's hair then!! My kids think the picture is a riot and my nursing school friends even went so far as to pass it around while laughing at the hairdo!!

You're too funny!:p

No, it's horizontal still. It has different colors and graphics, it has a little crab on it. :)

You're so nice! :) I need to fix up those photos in my sig. I uploaded them to Imagestation and the quality got messed up somehow!

This last time that I had to get my picture taken I actually had an appointment to get my hair cut. The DMV is about 2 blocks away from my hairdressers....do you know where this is going :p Yup, I went to have my hair cut and then to the DMV. Got a nice picture out of it ;)

I thought vertical licenses were for under-21, and horizontal licenses were for over-21. I know that's how it works here and in Colorado, and I'm sure in other places, too.

My DL picture is usually pretty good, but I was sick the last time I had to replace my license, and it shows. I look awful! I'm very tempted to "lose" it and try again.

Yep, I think that is how it works in MD too.

I have no clue about the vertical/horizontal stuff. I've always had horizontal ones. Is that a new(ish) thing?

omg - my brother has HANDS DOWN the WORST license picture EVER...I need to find my copy of it (yes - he scanned and sent it to me - i look at it whenever I need a laugh)...I'll post it as soon as I find it!

I went to get a new DL right after we got back from our Honeymoon (Disney-of course!) to get it w/ my new name and it turned out to be the best one ever. My hair look great--highlights and good style from the wedding and I had a nice tan. I had that "newlywed glow"-- you know, the way you look before kids, lots of bills and all that stuff! LOL!!:p

I wanted to keep it when I went to renew, but they wouldn't let me. My newest picture isn't so bad, though.

ok - hope this works!

I guess the woman didn't give him enough time, she said look here, he said "eh?" CLICK!

OK - I took his picture down...didn't want to cause TOO much trauma. :)

Oddly enough, my drivers licence pictures always turn out good. In fact, the last time I got a new one, the lady went to hand it to me and said in a VERY surprised voice, "Hey, look everybody, this is a good picture!" She showed it to one of her co-workers, then pretended like she wasn't going to give it to me. She told me, "We can't have somebody walking around with an attractive driver's license picture!" Those wacky folks at the DMV.

stinkerbelle-LOL!!! His picture is bad, but not THAT bad! Too funny!!!!!! Will he just love it that you posted it on here for thousands of people to see?!?! LOL!!:p ;)
