I once made a tuna dish with rice and I think corn and tomatoes??? It was served cold. Does this sound familiar to anyone??? If not, do you know an easy tuna recipe that isn't the standard tuna and mayo...

Thanks!:)

Dyan:

Have you tried www.familyoven.com? You can look up recipes in their data base (which includes recipezaar and others!) by listing the ingredients. I tried "tuna, corn, tomatoes" and didn't come up with anything that used all three, but maybe by playing around with the ingredients (since you didn't seem 100% sure of what they were?) you might find what you're looking for.

good luck

I've never heard of that site. I'm going to have to check it out.

lewdyan1 -- I hope you can find the recipe you are looking for.

Although the tuna dish with rice sounds good. Perhaps it was pimento for color?

My favorite quick tuna dish is this.

prep time is the same as cooking time for pasta - maybe 8 min depending on how you like your pasta...

1 can of tuna - drained
peas ( i use frozen - you can use canned - really doesn't matter )
minced onion ( to taste )
celery seed ( to taste - but i don't usually eat celery )
salt
pepper
minced garlic (maybe 1 tsp???)
4 strips of crispy bacon - crumbled
1 tbsp mayo (yes - i know you said no "normal" mayo dish)
2 cups of pasta - I use farfalle or rotini typically

Get your pasta boiling. While waiting for water to boil and pasta cooked you can assemble the rest.

It all goes in one bowl and it's as much or as little as you like for any of the seasonings. Just combine it.

Once the pasta is cooked to your liking - drain it and fold it into the salad mix - quite often that will be a whole dinner for me but I have also make that as a chilled salad.

One substitution I have made is cous cous as a substitute for the pasta.
