Hello Disney Foodies!

I'm looking for some very important advice and hoping that you all can help! I just booked my second trip to Disney World (the first was when I when I was 3 and I don't really remember it all that well) and my husbands FIRST trip! :goodvibes I really want to make this trip special for my husband as I'm hoping he falls in love with Disney and allows me to book a trip every year (it's ambitious, I know, but a gal can remain hopeful can't she?) I need to know what restaurant serves the very best steak at Disney so I can book reservations. I know I have until May to even think about reservations but you can never be too prepared can you?:confused3

Thanks it advance!!! I love reading all of your posts and seeing all the yummy food pictures, you guys are great!:hippie:

Well, I'm sure you'll find a lot of variety of answers to this one, but one of the "best" (or "worst") things I've ever done is having taken the DW to V&A, because now it's the only place she wants to eat steak....something about their Japanese Wagyu Kobe really floats her boat....for me, I'd rather have the oxtail they served with it, but then again, I'm more of cheeseburger eater than a steak eater....

I just find it hysterical, since my DW is otherwise about as close to a vegetarian as you can get, but not when it comes to V&A's kobe apparently....

I like the filet mignon at both Le Cellier and California Grill. Yummy!

Shula's :thumbsup2 ....according to DH & DS9.

They eat there every trip.

DH is a steak lover and tends to order it alot in WDW. He really likes the steak at Le Cellier and Cali Grill but LOVED the one served at Raglan Rd.

Shula's - (I like the mountain of the prime rib there)
BlueZoo - (filet mignon was fork tender)
Yachtsman Steakhouse
Flying Fish

Purely steak, just beef, I'd say Yachtsman Steakhouse or Shula's (tied).

You might not believe this, but the best steak I had last summer was at the Coral Reef! Better than Concourse Steakhouse.

I agree with breik. I really enjoyed my steak at Coral Reef. The ambience is wonderful and so relaxing! It is also nice and cool after being outside in the hot and humid weather.

You will find that WDW loves to serve its steaks topped with a wine(?) sauce. I would order the sauce on the side in case you or your DH prefers your steak without the sauce.

Have a wonderful trip! :cool1:

In order of preference (I always order a filet):

Jiko
Citricos
Yachtsman
Concourse
LeCellier

Le Cellier - Fillet with Mushroom Risotto
Victoria & Albert's - Expensive but astounding. Elk that was better than Fillet
Mama Melrose - Steak Gorgonzola, it was delicious!!
Jiko - Fillet - even over Mac and Cheese was delicious. You can order the mac on the side too if you want.

Bad Steak - 50's PTC - BLECH - It was more like jerky than steak.

Thanks guys, you're awesome! I was leaning towards LeCellier but I had read that it was "overated":confused3 Kobe beef sounds good though!! I'll have to check out the menu at V&A!:flower3:

This was a surprise. We had already eaten at the Yahtsman two nights before we ate at Mama Melrose. The steak at Mama Melrose was cooked perfectly,it jest melted in my mouth. (we are from Texas).

This is a tough question. If it's a true steakhouse experience you're looking for then Shula's is the only choice. They serve the Shula cut (which I've been schooled on here on the DIS) which they claim is better than 'prime', 'prime' being the highest USDA rating. It is beef raised on their own farm. None of the other restaurants at WDW serve 'prime' beef.

The filets at Jiko, CG, AP, Yachtsmans, etc. are all great but IMO overall Shula's will be noticably better.

Le Cellier is great Park restaurant and I love it for lunch. They serve, IMO, Outback quality steaks (but the price is above that).

I like The Palm at the Hard Rock better than Shula's and of course I-Drive has Ruths' Chris (the absolute best chain, IMO), Morton's, Capital Grille, etc.

We've never had a bad steak at Le Cellier, and we also had a FABULOUS steak at Kona Cafe! My DH also had a good steak at the Brown Derby, but it had a wasabi-ish sauce that he didn't like.

Le Cellier for Filet Mignon
Shula's for just about any other steak, including the Filet
California Grill is another one of my favorites

With all the suggestions on here though, you can eat a different type of steak every day of the week!

My DW really enjoyed her steak at Wolfgang Puck's at Downtown Disney. She thought it was better than Le Cellier, I don't agree with her but I hadn't seen it mentioned
