Looking for suggestions

Hoping someone can help. On Dec. 6th we have ADRs at Trails End at 7:45. My questions is after dinner what would be the best plan to watch the water parade and still be able to get back to the POP. I know we can watch the parade from Fort Wilderness but I am concerned about transportation. I guess we could catch a bus to DTD and then to the POP but wonder if anyone has a better idea?

Take the boat from Fort Wilderness dock to the Magic Kingdom. Take the bus from MK to Pop.
