At this point, I think we are planning on coming back to WDW in June 2010. We are looking for some new places to try this time and I am hoping we can get some suggestions for table service restaurants. We will have 8 dinners, and I think three or four are pretty much already a lock (Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, Raglan Road, and Sci-Fi Dine-In).

There are four of us, two adults, a 13 year old, and a 10 year old.

I'm considerring Boma and Whisperring Canyon Cafe since we've wanted to try these two before.

I am looking for ideas for another Epcot dinner, a signature dining experience, and something different. Also, I think I don't want to do any more character dinners. Once is enough for me this time :rolleyes1.

I see all the choices availabe throughout the parks and resorts and it's overwhelming (especially the restaurants around World Showcase), and I just wanted some opinions on other people's favorite places and why they like them.

Places we've been to and liked: Chef Mickey's, Le Cellier, Sci-Fi Dine-In, Mama Melrose, 'Ohana (dinner), Akershus, Raglan Road (haven't actually had entrees, but loved drinks, appetizer, and dessert).

Places we've been to and haven't liked: 'Ohana (breakfast), 1900 Park Faire, Crystal Palace

Thanks!

fan of WCC. Some people like it and it is worth going to once to try it out. Boma has been good every time I have been - which is not recently.

In Epcot consider Biergarten and Restaurant Marrakesh if you want someting a litlle different. I would also look at Kona and The Wave for dinners.

We will be heading out of ABE (you know where that is) for last week in October some of our favorites that you did not mention that we will be going to this time are Coral Reef, Rose and Crown, Chef de France and for some reason we kind of like San Angle.. Tepper Edo is also real good but don't have ADR's this time. Did you ever try the Hoop -Dee Doo going for the 4th time.
Our favorite Le Cellier you do mention.
Aligiant Air $49 ea. way with some tack ons but not bad.

I would also agree with WCC & Boma. They are 2 of our favorites. At Epcot, I would suggest either Chefs de France or Marrakesh. They both have good food. Marrakesh also has live music and a belly dancer during dinner. Also, I know you said you did not enjoy Ohana breakfast but would you consider dinner. It was one of my DH's favorite places. Food is served family style and there is entertainment for the kids. Plus the bread pudding (which I have never liked) is delicious!
The only signature dining we have done is Narcoossee's. It was nice. We got to watch Wishes from the restaurant and the food was pretty good too.

Did you ever try the Hoop -Dee Doo

We haven't done any show or any signature dining yet. I like the idea of doing Hoop-Dee-Doo, but there are so many to chose from, and we are only planning on doing one signature dining experience this time. Hard to chose...

I would suggest Tepan Edo in Japan. They cook the food in front of you. It's a fun show. We always do this twice while in Disney.

Last year we paid for the Hoop with the Disney Rewards card and used the extra TS for a breakfast TS and an addiional Dinner TS

If you want to head to Wilderness Lodge to eat, I would skip WCC and go to Artist Point for the signature dining - I think this is a great one, and has a bit different menu options from some of the other signature restaurants IMO.

Sure. I decide this morning that we're going back to Disney next summer, and by this afternoon, DH is already researching dining.

Just want to correct a few things he said. We've also been to Garden Grill, which I hated, he didn't like, and the kids enjoyed. And we went twice to Liberty Tree Tavern back when it had characters. But I think he's right about no character meals other than Chef Mickey's this time.

Also, thank you all for suggesting Marrakesh, but DH isn't allowed in there. :rotfl2:

Boma - nice Buffet
WCC- was good food & fun

Epcot-
Tutto- very very good
Teppen Edo -good food & fun
Coral Reef- good food & nice atmosphere

Hote Ress-
The Wave @ CR
Maya Grill @ CRS
Captians Grill @ YC

Sign Ress-
Cali Grill- Great food, great atmosphere, great service & awesome view of the world.
Citricos- great food & nice atmosphere

Narcoossee's- great food & nice atmosphere & nice view. In my opinion a step down from the other 2 but still very very nice.

We had dinner last week at Tutto Italia. I changed our original reservation for Le Cellier to Tutto Italia after discussion with my DH and DDs who indicated that they really were not that into steak. I was skeptical at first but I must say the food was delicious and the service wonderful. It turned out to be out best meal of the week. In retrospect I am glad that I changed the ADR. :hippie:

Boma and WCC are both very good.

For Epcot I'd recommend Biergarten and Coral Reef. Both restaurants have excellent food and entertainment (band at Biergarten & aquarium wall at CR)

Signatures I'd recommend are Artist Point, Spirit of Aloha Show (don't know if you consider that a signature but it takes 2 TS), and Narcoossee's. All of these have great food!
