Looking for some info

We are starting to plan a trip to come over to England to visit my aunt in 2010

2009 is disney.

and while she lives in Shropshire we were thinking of spending the first 5-7 days up in Edinburgh where my mom was from.

I know there are a lot of bus tours and there is a train that goes from somewhere around there to Chester England.

I'm hoping someone here could give me some information on some good but not expensive hotels (think PoP - Riverside accommodations and prices)

and some good tours to take while up there.

If i remember correctly from my 1989 trip (wow so long ago), there is a royal mile walking trail and i think there was a tour but i didn't take it.

Princess Street is always good to wonder down too but i'm looking for something more with a guided bus tour.

ones that take you around the city but also ones that take you out to castles or through the hills.

this will be the first time my husband and daughter will see it and i really want to make an impression.

oh and if anyone knows about the train or how i can find the site to go from Scotland to Chester that would be great.

You can walk everywhre in edinburgh, lots of bus tours.

The trains are not great in the uk compered to the rest of europe.

It is slightly more tricky to get around other castles but you can hire a car, hell i will take you if you give me plenty I will take you!!
