We are doing the Land/Sea cruise package, staying at CBR on June 17th - 20th then boarding the Wonder for our 4 day cruise. We have read on the cruise boards that the DCL buses pick up at the resorts quite late, getting to the port well after boarding has begun.

Our question is..Should we book a town car service to get us to the port earlier or just wait for the bus which we have already paid for the transfers? We aren't planning to get the "coveted" ressie on the ship for the spa or Palo's, but I don't want to be there TOO late.

Does anyone have a town car service they can recommend? Do you know aproximately how much it would cost for a one way transfer to the port?

Thanks for any info and input!!!

.......I can't personally recommend any because I haven't used any yet. However, a lot of people on these boards seem to like FL Tours.

As far as pricing goes, it depends upon:
- whether you want to use them one way then take the bus back OR use them round trip,
- whether you want a towncar OR a luxury van,
- how many people in your party, etc.

To check for yourself, click this link: http://www.fltours.com/rates.htm

That should give you some idea. Just be careful who you pick though because on the "Absolute Limousine" site, I saw where their company is one of only 3 in the Orlando area with the proper licenses, permits and authority to take passengers to Port Canaveral (I don't know what that means exactly?).
Also, "Absolute Limousine's" prices include all highway tolls, taxes, etc.....with no hidden fees except the drivers' gratuity. Don't know if that's the same for FL Tours or not. Maybe someone else on this board knows for sure.

WOW Parrothd, you gave me lots more things to think about.

I too wonder what that means.."Proper licenses, permits, etc.,."

Anyone out there know who is the best and legitimate?

There will be only 3 in our party (DH, Self and 3yr.old DGD). We need transportation from CBR to the port, one way only. We don't care if it limo, towncar, van or taxi. We just want to get to the port in a clean and dependable manner.

......Here's the site where I read it:
www.absolute-limo.com/main.htm

Below is what it actually says (note that the prices they quote are for LIMO service.......a towncar or van is generally cheaper):

"An important note:

We are one of only three companies in Orlando that have all the necessary Airport... Port Canaveral... and Driver permits... to provide round trip service between Orlando International Airport and Port Canaveral.

This is a very important issue, as any company can drop you off at the port but unless they have the necessary permits... they can't pick you up.

Our rate from the Orlando area to Port Canaveral is $165.00. If you make a round trip reservation the total is $310.00 (a savings of $10.00 each way).

And by the way, our rates include all airport tolls, port authority tolls, highway tolls, and taxes. There are no hidden fees!"
