Looking for some advice

We just returned from 10 days at BC cl. We had a great time but I did request a room close to the elevator because of a severely arthritic knee, and VIP cleaning. The cleaning was done the next day after we left a nicely worded note and a nice tip. So no complaint there but the distance to the room was tremendous. Anyone who has such a knee will tell you that it hurts more to walk in malls and long hallways than it does to walk in the parks, weird but true. We are thinking of another 10 day trip in mid august and trying to decide between Contemporary CL and Wilderness Lodge CL. Any advice on either would be helpful. We always rent a car so we don't usually worry about transportation(although I guess we would use the boat from WL to MK). How are the staff at both resorts? Anything that makes one so much better than the other?

Did you ask when you checked in if you could have a closer room? If your facing the CL desk, we had a room on the hall to the right. It's a short hallway so don't think any rooms there are far.

All resorts have long halls. We've stayed at WL several times, not CL but they have long halls too. Last stay we had a room not far from the elevator by the front desk in the south wing. It was a good location.

But a request is just that. It does help to state why you are requesting a location.

I love WL but I think half of the CL floor may be closes for Reno which cuts their inventory. You can check on the WL thread to find out where they are with the renos.
