Looking for indoor rides at MK with no to little wait time so my family and I can keep cool and stay in the park until 3-ish, then we will go to Poly to have our early dinner at 3:45pm.

So far I can think of these rides... Please let me know if there is any other rides that can be added to the list, or if any of these actually would need a FP+:

- Country Bear Jamboree.
- Philharmonic
- Monster Inc Laughing floor
- PhilharMagic <------------ Do I need FP+ for this??
- Hall of Presidents
- Tiki Room (I probably would nap in there...)

Also have read about the Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station by Dumbo... How wet will it get you??

Thank you for helping!!!

You don't need a FP for Philharmagic. That's our go-to when we are hot or cranky. The lines area is nice and cool too. Pirates is a decent option as well if the line isn't too long because it does have a cool queue area. We also like to go to the very back room of Pecos bill and sit with a cold drink.

Philharmagic is a high capacity show ride. I think the longest wait I've personally seen for it is like 20 minutes and that is on super busy days. Plus I love that show. Fantastic, fun Disney attraction. Hall of Presidents is a good one too because the waiting area is indoors as well.

Carousel of Progress is our go to. I've actually napped in there during the show. It's a small world is another because there is usually no line.

The Liberty Belle riverboat is not indoors, but you get a nice breeze while riding on it. Same goes for the WDW railroad. I like Hall of Presidents the best because of it's indoor holding area.

When I went past the Splash and Soak area by Dumbo there were kids running around in bathing suits, so expect them to get very wet. Google images of it and you will see some very wet kids.

Our go to cool off place is country bear jamboree. For some reason, it is so cool and refreshing in there.

We have three rides we go to to cool off - it depends where we are in the park - Carousel of Progress, Philharmagic and Hall of Presidents.

Thank you all for the great information!! :disrocks:

Here is an updated list (in case anyone else need it too)

- Country Bear Jamboree.
- Philharmonic
- Monster Inc Laughing floor
- PhilharMagic
- Hall of Presidents
- Tiki Room (I probably would nap in there...)
- Carousel of Progress
- People Mover
- WDW Railroad
- Liberty Belle Riverboat
- Cave at Tom Sawyer Island....

It's A Small World. The line usually moves pretty well for this ride, at least we have never had to wait very long in line to ride it.

Oops...

The caves at Tom Sawyer Island or just the island
I think this is one of the hottest places (in the summer) because the only place you can go to cool off is the caves and even then they aren't that cool. The railroad is another that's kind of cool when you are moving, but you aren't out of the humidity. Same for riverboat (I'm usually really hot on that). This is only a problem in the extremely humid summer. The key is get out of humidity. Shade doesn't even help that much.

According to Josh at Easywdw It's a Small World now averages a wait of 30+ minutes most days.

OP, What is the difference between Philharmonic ?? and Philharmagic?

Chilling in a QS restaurant is a great place to soak up the AC. When we had little ones in strollers, this worked out great when they were napping in the stroller. DH and I would grab a cool drink a find a corner table and rest our weary feet.

Special spots: Snag a table in Pinocchio's Village Haus overlooking It's a Small World! Spread a little magic and wave at the people on the boats! Grab a seat in Gaston's Tavern and enjoy a LaFou's brew. It is so refreshing on a hot day! Find a seat upstairs in Columbia Harbour House. Last but not least, find a cool spot in Pecos Bill's!

Happy Planning!

Thanks for this thread. I always swore I'd never return in the summer, but now here we are...LOL. I noted all the suggestions for MK and now I'm looking at park maps for the other 3 parks to have a plan for them, also.

If I remember correctly the line for Under the Sea- Journey of the Little Mermaid is mostly inside and air conditioned. Have a GREAT trip.
