my children are pretty good when we go out to eat.
im looking to do a character breakfast every morning and a sit-down regular dinner every night with a counter service for lunch.

i am working on an itinerary and trying to get organized for Feb break.

so far i have the following must do's (as per others suggestions):
Garden Grill
Sci Fi
Coral Reef

Any other suggestions or ideas that worked for families of small children?

Cape May & Ohana are our Favorite Char Breakfasts. Dinner my kids like Chefs de FRance, Whispering Canyon(they like it for breakfast too), Rainforrest Cafe, Kona & We are thing about Japan for dinner next trip.

Since you will be out at AKL, I would really recommend Sanaa. Their children's menu is the Disney standard - burgers, macaroni, etc - and you can't beat the savannah view for entertaining kids. So if the adult menu looks good to you, definitely try it. We loved it.

Ohana is our favorite character breakfast. And our kids loved dinner at the Biergarten.

We enjoyed Tusker House at AK for character breakfast and we LOVE the character breakfast at Crystal Palace in MK. The best part? make an 8:05 ADR so you can get in before the park opens!

I couldn't do that many character breakfasts. They take a long time and are sometimes tiring (and can run behind). We hardly eat together since one guy is always at the buffet.

We took DD to Flying Fish at 22 months for DH's birthday. It was F & W so don't think we had any other ADRs.

At 3 years old, we did CRT and Tusker House (awesome!) at AK. But we also ate at the Plaza in MK (which we are probably doing again next weekend) and Kouzzina (eh,) and Raglan Road (too heavy for summer, but it was Jan).

She did fine at all. RR even made her a grilled cheese which was not on the menu and DH and I almost wished we could have eaten it. It had about a quarter inch of white cheddar and thick texas-style bread.

Phew--took me a minute to remember them all.

I've not been interested in Sci-Fi since our group of 3 can't face each other, so one guy eats alone (probably DH) and I have to do all the work. When DD can eat a little more solo and may be more interested in the movies, we'll definitely try it.

Not sure about your kids ages but we did character breakfast before parked opened

Norway Princess
Tusker House
Crystal Palace

All were great and if you are on time they take about an hour to see all the characters and you can leave at rope drop. :thumbsup2

Dinner- my kids wanted to eat at the castle again :goodvibes they did not understand it was too expensive.

Loved Ohana!
Loved HDDR.

Brown Derby was not good for kids and I would skip Flying Fish as well.

Just read that your sons are 21 months. To warn you, that can be a rough age for characters. My son is 2.5 now, and most of the characters freak him out. The concept of Pluto, Mickey, etc is exciting to him, but put him in front of those big eyes and he loses it.

You might try taking them somewhere with costumed characters and see how they react, before booking a character breakfast every morning. They might not enjoy them all that much.

Chef Mickey's for Breakfast, T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe for Dinners, and Teppan Edo in Epcot. DS loves to watch them cook the food, and they are always very funny while doing it.
