Looking for recommendations for Juneau fishing

I am looking for a private fishing charter for Juneau. Who have you used? Would you recommend them or not? What do you wish you had known? Thanks in advance....

intended in a nice way ..... but

Do you know what this costs? ...... one example:

* ½ Day Fishing (salmon) (4 Hours) $240.00, per person
* ½ Day Fishing (halibut) (4 Hours) $365.00

and if you think I picked a bad example ..... a half day off shore fishing on a private (versus party boat) here in Cape Canaveral runs about $250 pp

(this IS what I've spent to go diving, but sometimes have found folks did not expect this $$ for fishing . . . .)

as Captain of a cutter working AK waters I had a deal with the crew ..... on Sundays, when operations permitted, I'd find a fishing spot and altho I was not a fisherman myself the 'fee' was one nice piece of any halibut caught. I had a nice sized chest freezer in the Captain's Cabin (installed by a predecessor). On any AK trip I'd return home with A BUNCH of halibut . . . . yum yum.

I can see where that information might be a "wish I'd known" for some. We fished last year in Ketchikan so I'm prepared for the costs. I just didn't have a referral for Juneau which will fit better into our overall itinerary. Thank you for your input!

We booked in Ketchikan and the woman highly recommended Allen Marine which I think is both in Ketchikan and Juneau. They had tours but I can't remember if they offered charters too. Trip Advisor has been very helpful too.
