Original plan is to fly in monday morning. Now thinking of flying in sunday night. Dont' want to pay $200 for sunday night though. Could just stay at a value resort for that night.... but also thought I would see if there are any orlando resorts that pick you up at the airport(or would I need private transportation... which then I would probably be better off just going value with magical express?) thanks...

We stayed at the Hawthorne Suites airport for a night before our cruise. We paid $99 for a 1 bedroom suite which included a complimentary hot buffet breakfast in the morning. Another amenity was an airport shuttle for their guests. I believe that most airport hotels do offer the shuttle service beteen the airport and their hotel. If you aren't picky, you could check out Hotwire. They show airport hotels that range from $45 to $80 per night, with shuttle service. I'm not that familiar with Magical Express, but could you take the shuttle back to the airport in the morning and then get onboard the Disney bus?

AFAIK all the 3* hotel in the airport zone on PL offer 24 hour complimentary shuttle buses. Look at biddingfortravel.com Rooms used to go for $35-$40 but the winning bids seem to be closer to $50.

I would just stay at one of the budget disney hotels you can get them for about 75.00 and disney will move you to your new hotel that way you will already be on property and the extra money you save in taxi shutle fair from hotel to off site resort to disney would make it a wash...

We needed a room just to sleep in this past Jan. Did Priceline for an airport location (which includes airport transfer). Bid on a 3 star for $35 and got the Wingate. Very clean, had airport pick up (although we did not use it) and buffet cooked breakfast in the AM. We also ended up with a suite. It was a very good experience, but even if it was not, it was only one night. You can get up and leave as early as you want.

Also, since it was $35, if it was totally undesireable it wasn't much to loose if we decided to leave. At that point you can often negotiate with any hotel for a low rate just for the night. Be sure to emphasize that you will be checking out early for the best deal.

Good luck!

As an option - the airport hotels will also take you back to the airport so you can get ME the next morning. Kind of a hassle, but totally free! I like the budget Disney room idea as well.

We are staying at a value resort for 2 nts, then off to the Nick suites! We'll just have to pay for a way back to the airport. :cool1: :cool1:
