Looking for Opinions: Which Grand Floridian Outer Building?

Hello,

We are staying in a GF outer building lagoon view room 2/21-26. We have a 9 month old DD and 4 year old DS. My parents will also be with us, full house!

Opinions on what might be the best building for us.... We are regular park/resort guests, but GF newbies! I know it will be what we are "assigned", but wondering about the benefits/drawbacks of each and which we may want to cross our fingers for!

Thanks :)

Hi there. I guess it depends on what’s important to you… you can request nearest to pools, main building/monorail, boat dock… here’s a map of the property. Hopefully it will help give you a visual. Also, check out YouTube where there are plenty of GF Walkthrough videos of the property. Definitely would be helpful in this situation. The property is not huge, so everything is a quick walk, IMO. Good luck and have a great time!

You won't likely get Big Pine Key (being converted to DVC) or Sugar Loaf. SL is club level--or was pre-covid. No idea what its status is now that the main building is the only club level currently.

You'll fall in love with the GF, I'm betting. It's gorgeous.

We've stayed there several times and bought into the villas.

Do go when holiday decorations are up sometime. It's fun to see them if staying elsewhere but true love when you're a GF guest. ❤ 💕 😉

ETA: Oh, when walking about in the main building lobby, look down here and there. There are lovely character silhouettes in the floor.

Unfortunately, Sugar Loaf is no longer Club Level. ☹️

Thank you, definitely looking forward to it! My 4 YO son considers himself a professional "hidden mickey finder"... If you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up, he wants to work for Disney finding hidden Mickeys. I let him know about the floors and told him we will need his good eyes to spot all the characters!

We were pixied dusted in October with a theme park view upgrade in Boca Chica. It was amazing, so convenient. What a view.
Plus, walk out of the building to the pool, a bit further to the main building for dining and monorail. See the map provided above and I'm sure you will find what's best for you.
