My family's planning our first trip to WDW for Jan. 2010. Hoping to rent DVC points and stay at AKV - Kidani Village for the visit. My husband and I have been as children, but this will be the first trip for our DDs 7 & 5 at the time. We're excited and planning obsessively for this trip. Here's a list of TS restaurants we plan to visit while we're there. What do the veterans think of these choices?

Whispering Canyon - supper
1900 Park Fare - Supper
Boma - supper & breakfast
LeCellier - supper
Cape May Cafe - supper
Coral Reef - supper
Arkerhaus - Princess Breakfast
Chef Mickey's - Breakfast

Your choices are very good. I may suggest a meal at the Castle only because you have two DD at good ages for it. My 5 yo DD LOVED it when we had lunch with Cinderella. It is pricey, and probably not worth using two TS credits for (we just paid out of pocket), but it was one of her most memorable experiences last year. Just the fact that we ate in the castle amazed her! Anyway, just a thought! Have an amazing trip!

Whispering Canyon - supper didn't like (went in September)--we found it overrated and service not good
1900 Park Fare - Supper never done
Boma - supper & breakfast had ressies for dinner in September but cancelled because we were too tired--we've heard they use some strange spices which will probably mean we won't go--I'm not fond of spices; we are however going for breakfast next September--one of the best buffets at Disney
LeCellier - supper our MUST DO every single trip--love it here
Cape May Cafe - supper we prefer breakfast over dinner; if you are expecting a lot of seafood, don't--there are usually only three items
Coral Reef - supper haven't done in probably 12 or 15 years--we liked it the one time we went
Arkerhaus - Princess Breakfast we did lunch two years ago and didn't care for it; however, the breakfast is more "American" type food and we probably would have liked it better
Chef Mickey's - Breakfast
We've done breakfast and lunch. Typical buffet; very busy and loud (haven't been since 2004 as we much prefer Crystal Palace)

We are planning trips for the same time! :thumbsup2 I cant wait!! I just want to be able to make my ressies!!
We stayed at AKL our last trip & loved it! And Boma is DELICIOUS!! That was honestly one of favorite meals the whole trip!
We also did Arkerhaus, but for dinner, and we were not terribly impressed... Maybe breakfast will be different? All of the princesses were there-and my
DD7 loved seeing them. I think we are going to try 1900 Park Fare this trip too! But we want to go for breakfast-my DD7 & DS5 love Alice & the Mad Hatter (respectively! ;) ) so I am very excited!
Have a great time planning & an AMAZING trip!

Thanks for the opinions everyone, does anyone else have thoughts or suggestions for a great place to check out that we've missed off our list?
